Such a thing as 58+ Solo Exp?

My Fellow Elf-Pals,

Against all odds and earnest advice I have brought a Half-Elf Ranger to the 58th level. With the introduction of Weaponshield Discipline and a desire to be the best, the 60-lust has become real.

There was a time when I was surrounded by pals. I could always count on the occasional Raid EXP group to keep my bar ticking forward. Those days have ended and I find myself solitary yet again in the vast expanses of Norrath.

My Question is this: where would you go to solo for experience at level 58?

Am I fooling myself that such a place exists?

Go to a dungeon, find mobs on track that are dark green (not light green) and kill them.

LDCs/Efreeti area in Sol B?

Have dispel up for DSes, root CC, buff self.

You have both epics and a sky cloak I hope!

You would get destroyed solo at Efreeti/Imps as a ranger. This is already challenging as a shaman.
LDCs could work but risky.
For me the best solo xp at those levels was froglok forager and hunter in TT (with nameds).

Grouping would be much faster though.

LDC's I think will give you xp to 60.. I think freeti trash might be too tough for a ranger... its GREAT for a 58-60 shaman though..

Surely there are some spots in velious where you can fear animal or something? or bow kite?

The whole problem is that you shouldn't be aiming to solo, you should be aiming to duo or trio.

I mean if you have an Earthcaller, Sky cloak, Fungi, 40% worn haste... I think Efreeti area is doable.

And there are so few rangers everyone has those right??!

Man, I just can't think of any place a 58 Ranger is going to make enough headway to 60 to be able to do it. You will die more times than it is worth. The old 2 steps forward, three steps back thingy. :eek:

Even a Duo sounds sort of iffy to me. Shaman, Ranger only duo I can begin to see. :confused:

I think you need to beg for groups and go that way. It would take forever to do what you want to do, and I am a pretty big Ranger fan in Velious. :(

Two words: Dragoon Szorn (lesser faydark DE camp).

Level 45 that stays dark blue until 60, is an easy single pull solo kill in a stationary spot on a 10 minute timer.

Or the two brownie guards NW of him in lesser faydark (also level 45 till 60).

I've seen rangers kill the mobs at the zone-in in HS. Good monk spot too.

I bet a Ranger/Druid duo in permafrost bear pits would be pretty cool.

I have seen a ranger down there once taking out a single spider spawn.

I soloed to 60 at KC entrance. It was painful, but at least you can track the dark blue stuff and stick to that. Plus strangers tend to help kill and buff, so that's nice.

CoM mobs - Gyrating goos , higher level golems, war boned skels etc are still blue for the most part at 60
