Dark Ascension is a premiere raiding guild. We have members that occupy all walks of life and come from all over the world to do one thing - experience classic EverQuest. Whether you are a veteran raider from a top guild on your live server or have never seen the high-end classic content you are encouraged to apply to Dark Ascension. While we are a pre-eminent raiding guild, everyone is welcome and encouraged to apply.

Our members are dedicated to defeating the toughest mobs and equipping the best gear in the game. Any game is about having fun. To us, fun is synonymous with conquest and domination. We strive to have the most knowledge, skill, and tactics as well as the quickest mobilization, and number of boss kills.

Dark Ascension has a friendly environment and social guild - We like to progress together and therefore frequently planned activities such as group and raid opportunities are available. Participation in guild activities and interacting with guild members not only helps the guild form an opinion of you, but also affords you an opportunity to feel confident in your decision to apply to Dark Ascension.

Dark Ascension has an application process that must be submitted by all prospective members. There is a short waiting period where the application will be reviewed and an interview will be conducted by the Recruitment Officer or one of our senior recruiters. After the informal interview you will attend raids as an applicant. As an applicant you will get a chance to learn more about our guild, meet new faces, familiarize yourself with content, strategy and tactics as well as obtain a sponsor. A sponsor is a guild member or officer who is willing to be your liaison within the guild that can offer extra guidance and support. As an applicant you will wear the “Dark Ascension” guild tag as you make the transition from applicant or recruit into a full member. During the last week of your application period you will be voted on by the members of our guild. The vote is reviewed by the officer core and a decision of your membership status is made. The recruitment period is four (4) weeks.

As an applicant, you are responsible for getting to know the current guild members, reading the Guild Charter (http://www.darkascensionguild.com/index.php/gc), becoming familiar with the website and meeting as many of our members as possible. It is also a requirement that you attend guild activities when possible so that we have the chance to measure your performance as you integrate into our forces.

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and Level 46+ in-game.

It has been a great week for the guild as far as progression. We out mobilized our opponents by a huge margin and slaughtered Lady Vox in less than 10 minutes of her being up. Great job everyone! Also congratulations to the following members on their upgrades! All the hard work and constant domination of Norrath the past few months are starting to pay off! We also aquired our 6th Red Scale which will be very useful for epic quest when Kunark comes out. Great job Dark Ascension and keep it up!

It was an exciting week for Dark Ascension as they conquered Norrath with quick mobilization and strategic planning. The most exciting
and well played raids this week was in the Plane of Fear. With another competitor, in the zone having around 38-39 players, Dark Ascension
faced a time limit and only had 27 in the zone. With team work and dedication, they were successful in taking down Cazic-Thule with the
entire temple still remaining in the zone. In the end most of Dark Ascension died due to Cazic Thule's call to aid. The raid was a job well
done.

Dark Ascension starts the new year off with massive momentum. They were able to slay every single God and Dragon with Plane of Fear being the main setting of events. Earlier in the week, Dark Ascension experienced some major competition with Dracoliche. There were 3 other guilds in the zone, and the dragon was pulled immediately after they zoned in from the Portal. Although Dark Ascension was not the first guild to pull or engage, they were able to avoid the mass chaos that was before them. Afterwards, it had seemed there was an Armageddon that had took place, but this did not phase Dark Ascension as they engaged the dragon, and took the sweep.

Recently, Ledzepp and Sochin went Street Fighter and duked it out in East Commonlands. Result: Sochin lost the duel because Ledzepp stuck the bristles in Sochin's eye causing a serious blind.

Just before the new year, there was also major competition in the Plane of Fear, once again. At one point, there were as many as 160 players in the zone primarily because Cazic-Thule still roaming within the zone. With careful instruction and planning, they were able to swiftly execute an attempt at Cazic-Thule with many mobs remaining in the zone. Despite the train of mobs rushing to aid Cazic-Thule, Dark Ascension was able to maximize on their DPS, and took him down with no hesitation.

Dark Ascension continues to challenge themselves, killing the Overseer of Air. With Overseer of Air quadding in the high 700's, Dark Ascension was able to slay him. This is the first time in Everquest history that a guild was able to conquer this challenge, and they did so with only 47 players.
