Noob feeling question. If you have an illusion dark elf spell can you then equip dark elf only armor? Such as a bard using that one mask and equipping... i think ravensvale or something armor? I remember it said bard but DE only.

illusions dont change anything about your character aside from appearance and possibly faction standings.

Except for gnome, that makes you a super-hero.

To answer the original question, no, illusions will not alter what you can equip in any way.

Not 100% true, but close. Dark Elf Illusion removes your ability to Slam, if you have it naturally (troll->dark elf).

Troll Illusion gives you a very very slight regen (not as good as normal troll regen). http://wiki.project1999.com/Illusion:_Troll

Dark Elf Illusion gives you ultravision.

Earth Elemental: +10 Strength
Water Elemental: Water Breathing
Air Elemental: Levitate
Fire Elemental: Damage Shield

Dark Elf Illusion gives you ultravision.

which, unfortunately, is completely useless in this game.

http://wiki.project1999.com/Illusion:_Werewolf gives a pretty significant buff to melee stats, although its only usable by bard and enchanter.

Too bad a Enchanter can't take advantage of it. :( They can't hit a bull in the ass with a Bass Fiddle. :D

http://wiki.project1999.com/Boon_of_the_Garou is a targetable version, so you can cast it on your tanks to get those aggro weapons procing.

Those spells are entirely different aside from appearance. Garou offers a minor atk bump, a huge dex buff and a lifetap proc. illusion ww offers a huge atk boost, a moderate str bump and 40% haste.
