It is hard for me to say. I think I generally enjoyed:
Acquiring the Gem Encrusted Ring when Kunark JUST when Live! That was cool for me.
General grouping in Castle Mistmoore. Edit: Sorry. This is not very specific. I really enjoyed the "atmosphere" and "environment" of this zone. Very well done. We would go for the named mobs, get the gargoyle eyes, etc. Cool.
On my warrior, acquiring Langseax of the Wolves (sp).
How about you?

I'd say of all, mine came on P99, winning a Guise of the Deceiver! Thank you Sirken for the event of 28th august, 2013!
For me it was probably doing a naked corpse run in lower Guk when I was only level 29. We had a mixed group of different levels. I was probably the lowest. We fought down to the last drop of mana and hitpoint and it was a real nail biter. Loved it.
Day 1. Making a gnome necromancer and discovering Steamfont/Ak'Anon. I was ~10 at the time and it was one of the most badass moments I remember since. Nearly crapped myself when I bought my spells and summoned my first skeleton pet not realizing what I was doing.
Corny but true.

Back on Brell Serilis, it was joining a raiding guild (Poison Arrow) and getting my paladin epic. Here, I'm not sure. I've had a lot of fun playing here, but it has mostly been an uphill struggle with doing a warrior as a main.
I really enjoyed a public Fear raid that Omni hosted recently, and it made me consider that perhaps I miss raiding more than I thought.
I also really liked exploring portions of Kael Drakkal as a non-KOS ogre (minus Tormax area and the Arena). I used to raid that place all the time back in the day. Was neat to see it in a new light.
Hard to pick a specific moment as the single most finest. Perhaps my favorite moment is yet to come?

Imagine zoning into Lesser Faydark as a young high elf wizard with a couple of other people at around level 8. You don't know where you're going or what you're doing, you just want a few mobs to kill. One of the others had mentioned more orc camps being there but we didn't know where.
The 3 of us, whoever the other guys were... then get stomped by some mob I can't remember (could have been anything, right?). None of us thought to loc, but we were in the middle of the zone somewhere and who knew how we'd find our corpses. Through what I thought was a bit of instinct but was probably 99% luck I found our corpses about 20 minutes later, no sense heading, no loc used....
I was grinning like a cheshire cat, and the 2 people I was with were over the moon :D
December 1999, I was 18 :p

Finally seeing the gorge alchemist to spawn after so many hours of camping him. Treant fists were a mark of achievement for any monk. They were a rite of passage into monkliness.

Finally getting all of my Lambent armour drops & turning in the pieces.
I'd earned the right the hard way & was a very proud Blue Ranger

I played live on launch, and i was a dark elf cleric. i levelled slowly, and i couldn't kill anything by myself. i remember this really frustrating me. i clearly remember trying to kill a crocodile in the old school cazic thule at the zone in when i got a new nuke at 34 (i think?) and failing miserably.
fast forward to velious. i still suck and cant kill anything, but im used to it now. i was running to frozen shadow, which was and still is my favorite zone, and i see a huge ass turtle swimming out to the ocean, being beat on by gnolls, and being summoned back by the boss gnoll. it was called lodizal, i had never heard of it before. it was at like 5% health. i nuked it twice, one got mostly resisted, but when it died, i got xp.
i looted the thing and it dropped aegolism, a belt, some other spells and the scale. i told my guild and a guildie told me to give him the scale, he knew what to do with it. he was a druid. so i did, and he found me half an hour later and handed me a lodizal shell shield which was so ridiculously good i couldnt believe it.
tldr- played a cleric on live that could never kill anything alone and then solo'd lodizal in velious for phat lootz

I was a bit of a troublemaker. Got temporarily banned several times for foul language, FD training and killing a Guide, etc.
Highlight was having my character sent to "jail" which was the kitty cat room underneath Erudin. Nobody knew about the kitty room at the time, and nobody would believe me that I was actually there.
The entire journey from Gfay to Erudin for the first time when I was like level 11 back in 1999. Nothing will ever equal it.

I did nothing memorable on live aside from get a captivated interest in EQ that lasted until I found this server.
Most of my favorite moments are from this server.
Killing Zordak Ragefire with Zagum and Luchino in TMO. First contested mob I killed in EQ, and since it was on farm status for them, they let me loot all of the blazing armor. I was the only person in my guild Flawless Victory with the armor.

Getting the killing blow on the first Eye of Veeshan I fought was pretty cool too. I love this screenshot because you can see people that are now in Asgard, Taken, Forsaken, and Rampage.

Walking into Veeshan's Peak or Temple of Veeshan for the first time was pretty memorable. Killing Trakanon with the A-Team for the first time was pretty cool too. My first planar raids in Hate and Fear were pretty cool; my first planar drop came from the last mob up in Hate.

One that comes to mind is my guild 'invading' Rivervale and declaring martial law on the city. We started shouting threats to the mayor and sherriff and the newbies would have to pay taxes to us otherwise we were going to kill everything. This was on a PvE server so we couldn't kill the players, we did it because we were bored. Newbies started roleplaying in shout and ooc, telling us to get out of the city or face the wrath of the halflings. They challenged us to duels, we pulled the sherriff and mayor and they 'chased us out of the city'.
We honoured the halflings for their bravery and a successful defence, /kneeling and /saluting them, and asking for forgiveness by handing out weapons armor and food. Everyone had a grand old time and I like to think we instilled some pride into the people participating.

Item Loot was the only good thing about PvP servers. Removing it was the nail in the coffin of bad design decisions for EQ PvP.

One, being a wizard and swimming down to Phinny on my lunch break to trio him for my crystal staff with a mage and enc friend we were all mid 50's and felt great. Finished Epic shortly after.
also playing on Rathe server the top guild was Blood(brotherhood) of the spider. Being a mid level toon and velious just being released i saw a BoTs member sitting in EC tunnel by shady. Being a curious newbie i wanted to inspect her gear, before i reached her she had logged out and had a bag appear where she was sitting. Heart racing i picked the bag up and to my shock was filled with goodies. Manastone, heiro cloak, coldain gloves/boots and a few others i can't remember. I didn't get the chicks name, never found out if she quit and left this on purpose or if it was a bug, but man it felt great.

I was super casual on live. I played a ranger on Brell Serelis.
My favorite moment was when I finally got a Jade Reaver to drop in COM to finish the Swiftwind portion of my epic. It took a few months of casual raids to get! I think I was about 14 or 15 years old.

Dang, nice !
i used to play on The Rathe also, I was in the guild El'ar Du'bloth or something like that. I remember Legend of Marr, BoTS, Frayed Knot, Tindi Losi... great memories!
Gm event on tz. Couple gms made lvl 60 skeleton monks with tstaffs and destroyed everyone in the zone (lvl 10+) until 60s were called in. No lie had 200+ people in zone from lvl 10-60 chasing these guys down. Once all were killed, they dropped nothing.
Was just fun watching everyone work together and kill these guys, cause all they were doing was talking shit the whole time while slaughtering everyone until we had enough people.

For me it was the first day. Friends at work told me about EQ and omg I had to try it. I had not done any gaming in about 5 years at that point and did not know an MMO from shineola. So I finally broke down and bought the game. After a couple of months I found myself bored on a Sunday and decided to install it. Made a HIE Wiz and XP'd around the entrance to Felwithe. There would be the occasional player running in and out of Felwithe but other than that I saw no one and just soloed until I was level 2.
Then I decided to see where the path led that went away from Felwithe. When I crested a hill and Kelethin came into view I could see tons of players XPing and all kinds of spell effects going off and it was at that moment that I knew. I knew I was screwed... I was floored by the whole idea once I was able to see it in action and I was sold. That was in 1998...

Most memorable back in the day for me was tanking Naggy for the first time on my Warrior after attending ~10 or so pickup raids previously, and winning CoF on the same raid. I'd rolled on it a few times and had zero expectations of winning, it was a huge shock.
On this server... I'd say it was getting Raster. I had been camping it for a few days and when he finally spawned, I had some bad luck on repops and lost the fight, had to FD. Another monk came out of nowhere and started killing Raster while all I could do was sit and watch. I just knew he was going to loot it and /laugh before going on his way, but instead he sent me a tell "loot up" after he was done which made me just about fall out of my seat.

I was in there once. I had an Ogre War named Arserammer. The GMs (2 of them) brought me down and gave me a good talking to. They were actually pretty cool about it. They renamed my toon to Arflower and sent me back up to the world. This was on Xegony, way back in the day.
As far as happiest classic moments go, I had a lot of epic times in classic. But some of my happiest moments were completing totemic quests on my shaman, who was my main. Those were rewarding moments. For whatever reason, group or solo achievements always felt more rewarding than raid kills. Probably because my impact on the events were not nearly as noticeable, as compared to groups. Not to mention some of the initial magic of the game had worn off by the time I was raiding.

Most of my time with classic EQ involved watching my brother play. Top moment was probably when he went on a Vox raid. Sat outside for a couple hrs and I remember getting anxious cause it was taking so long and they just kept fighting giants.
When the time to engage finally came, Goldenpaw the warrior raced into Vox's lair alone and fought her for 10 seconds before the raid force engaged. (No clicky aggro lol). I just remember thinking that this warrior was such a fucking hero and he was so brave to square off with a dragon.
After Vox died, we checked out her lair and I was so impressed by the frozen cubes of ice with adventurers inside.
That was when I really fell in love.

I was a 16 Wizard, duoing with a 16 druid friend. We were camping the bandits in Gfay, and decided to cause some trouble in Kunark. This was on Sullon Zek, faction-based PvP.
After a very long trek across two continents, we finally ended up in Field of Bone. We tore apart the newbie field...I remember my pulse pounding as I successfully used shadow-step to confound an even-con shadow knight and take him down...
Eventually, the evils brought in backup and found out where we were bound. I distinctly remember my druid friend telling them to 'floss with my tampon'. In response to that they beat her up, and essentially escorted us to the Swamp of No Hope. They just dropped us off there and left us to die.
One of the evils eventually took pity on us, and walked us back to the boats to Butcherblock, only after hearing us promise we wouldn't come back again.
Games these days just don't play this way anymore... Truly a fascinating experience.

Dropping the AC on my warrior back in the day, and later getting my Jboots. I wasn't even looking for him. I was meeting a group and stumbled across him by accident. I don't remember my level at the time. Late 30s or early 40s? I didn't have a lot of hp left at the end of the fight, but I was going to go down swinging.

Downing Feshlak after competitors failed multiple times. In dramatic fasion.
being one of the first rangers world wide to get a Dark Cloak of the Sky. So many people had gotten rid of the pre-revamp cloak or the quest components because it really wasn't worth the bag space and no one ever thought there would be an item revamp.
also got to score that sweet sweet EQ'lizer spot.

Favorite memory was in 2000-2001 era. Raiding the Qeynos Hills/Blackburrow area with Flowers of Happiness. We had a player in every level range between 8ish to mid 40's, probably. Nobody was safe. We would kill people or get them to low HP and force them to join the guild.
I, too, also spent time in the kitty room. Later on in the game, perhaps 2003-2005 era, my friend knew of an exploit in High Keep. I can't exactly remember it, I think it was if you pulled the goblins to the guards after getting them below 50 percent exp, you would still get experience. My buddy had been exploiting it all day, and I showed up to join in. After the very first pull of me arriving, the GM arrived, took us to the kitty room, told us to stop. And let us go. He was pretty cool about the whole thing, in retrospect. To this day my buddy thinks I was informing the GM, since he showed up right as I joined in.

Live - Raiding in the Planes of Power, each and every raid in the entire expansion. I was a gnome enchanter and part of the key group that would do Plane of Earth and Plane of Water to get people flagged for Plane of Time.
P99 - Leveling my Bard and learning how to swarm kite, dying over and over for days and days. Then when it clicked it was like riding a bike. I could kite as many mobs as I could grab and get 2-3 levels a pull in the 30's and 40's. I leveled soo many friends by doing this that were playing hard to group with warriors or other classes.

Leveling my monk on P99 has been the greatest. Getting things like Tranquil Staff, Full Shiverback Armor, White Lotus gear, and J Boots, completing Epic. Its really tickled my nostalgia bone.
My hayday of playing was Classic/Kunark, bought Velious but was never really high enough level for it....came back several times over the years during various expansions but it never really was the same as Kunark era. With that said, I am having fun experiencing Velious essentially for the first time.
I feel like I need to make a new alt to get the full experience...maybe necro...
