Level 14 Bard with 300pp to spend. Advice?

I haven't really spent much, wearing mostly leather and Splitpaw hide stuff. My most valuable piece of gear is a Wraithbone hammer that was given to me. But now that I have a decent chunk of low level cash, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on what the best investment might be.

I'm a half-Elf and I mostly plan on soloing/kiting for as long as possible.

Get yourself some +AC/+HP rings

There are some better velious instruments than mm gear that you might be able to get cheaper now. I picked up a walrus skin drum from a merchant for 20ish plat, I don't remember exactly. But it had a higher modifier than the mm drum. I haven't seen too many people trying to auction them.

If you're doing mostly kiting, the gear is less important than if you're mainly grouping. Personally I'd hold on to the plat for now

Bronze is heavy as hell... I'd be afraid of being an immobile bronze statue out on the plains of Karana that pigeons would land on and cover with poo.

Was the Lambent and other goodies ever given away? I just started P99 and have rolled a Bard as my first character.

buy some mistmoore drums and hp rings. save for a gazughi ring.

you could level fairly quickly to 55ish totally naked with a good drum and ring. after that it will slow down, and you may want to grp. if you grp you will most likely be expected to pull from time to time, which will require a moderate set of gear to not be totally owned when you get stunned or a few rounds of aggro on incoming before tank and cc can protect you.

other than that you need nothing. you can do the lambent quests easily as you lvl and upgrade a few pieces here and there until you are able to raid.
