Hi
I play/love EQ
I tried to get my GirlFriend into it, but she seems to be more interested in minecraft (understandably.)
Today she played for no more than 20 minutes before becoming bored and slid off to take a nap.
Instead of logging out her toon - I kept it open to collect her some exp...
I got booted for 30 days because of this. I am not complaining, but for a game to boot its players seems kinda harsh and a good way for me not to give a Sh-t about playing anymore. I have high doubts that my GF will even want to try it again.
I am guilty of breaking the rule of playing 2 toons at once. I am happy that all I got was 30 days.
But come on: encouragement, not discouragement.
Please understand, and thank you for not deleting my account and hers.

Sucks but it is considered 2 boxing. Tell your girlfriend to fucking sit at the computer next time and hit buttons with her face if she falls asleep.

How would you recommend they "encourage" people who do this?

I had died, and was on a CR before the boot. Is there a way to get those items back?

The staff encourages you to follow the rules:
2+ Boxing
"Boxing" is not allowed on Project 1999. This is defined as playing more than one character per server by the same person. This includes one person playing multiple characters on different computers.
Violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action and possible loss of accounts involved.

I requested an IP exemption in the past - and was approved. Probably around January. The IP Exemption let us play together on the same IP.

dayne you won't get much sympathy here... the stories we've heard on the circumstances right before the ban hammer swung are from mildly entertaining to outright ludicrous lol.
When you get off that suspension you can petition for a GM to summon your expired corpse to the EC zone line just out of West Freeport.
As far as that "story" goes, you'd think she'd be more interested than "20 minutes" if she wanted to put in for an IP exemption to play with you. That doesn't add up for me.
