Looking for some help with Black Dire

Howdy everyone,

I am somewhat stuck in my Shaman epic. I have completed the epic up to the point where I need to kill Black Dire but I've also been compiling Completed Reports from CoM for the step after Black Dire.

I turned in one Completed Report and the NPC swallowed it because I haven't killed Black Dire yet. The Spirit Sentinel said something like "You have strayed from the path I gave you...". It appears I'm required to kill Black Dire before turning them in but I simply cannot find enough people to help me. I am in Thunderdome and it seems that Thunderdome doesn't have many folks 50+ or they just don't normally do a lot of epic assistance.

Once I get Black Dire I will be able to turn-in 4 completed reports that I have ready. I really do have my heart set on getting my Shaman his epic since it will be the first epic I've succeeded in finishing since I got my Enchanter's epic back on Live circa Luclin.

I've been told that Black Dire is actually relatively easy for a few level 60 folks. Would any of you care to help me? I would appreciate it so much!

As far as the CoM reports, you need a certain amount of faction before you can do it. It doesn't necessarily need to be from the black dire. If you can't get someone to help you and you want to keep leveling while doing CoM reports, do some other parts of the quest again that you can solo until you have high enough faction.

I duoed black dire with a well geared 60 war, in exchange for help I gave him my old GEBs.

Was 60 at the time.

I was wondering about this. I might have to redo my epic up to this point but that is no trivial task. What scares me about getting my faction up that way is I will have no idea whether it's sufficient enough to do another hand-in with the spirit sentinel. I am kinda traumatized from doing a rejected hand-in and it could happen again even after restarting my epic. Most other people don't seem to have much difficulty with the Black Dire step so maybe I've just been looking for help in the wrong channels before. Hence why I'm here. :)

I recommend levelling up. As someone else said he is easily duo'd at 60. 48 is a bit low to be asking random people on red for help lol just asking for trouble imo

Did I say I was guildless? No. Find somewhere else to mindlessly troll.

You don't have to do the quest over. The only thing that messed with faction is completing your epic.

You can tell how good your faction is by conning the turn in npc. Not sure what he needs to con for com, maybe kindly, wiki might say.

Some people have asked why I'm doing this at low-50s instead of waiting until I'm upper-50s. I think it is the most logical way to do it: I grinded my 40s in CoM collecting reports and now have enough of them to get my faction to max. These completed reports are all sitting on corpses at the zone line with a corpse timer on them. I took PK deaths to corpse them there. Once I kill Black Dire I just have to loot them and do the hand-ins en masse.

I am still looking for someone to help me kill this guy. The advisor is up right now. Please, anyone?

Trust me, I've been trying. Some people have quasi-offered to help but none and come through on their offer. It kinda depends on that friend, that friend's friend, and me to be online at the same time. I'm usually on but the others aren't.

I would be happy to help anyone who helps me with their own epic stuff, by the way!

Make new corpses then? Idk what to tell you bud - the best way to get ANYTHING done on red99 is your guild or friends.

I've already had two people offer to help. Those who say this is pointless aren't helping. Anyone else up for it? Monks, tanks, or a higher level cleric would be ideal.
