Hey it has come to my attention that blue server still mistakenly is able to duck to cancel spell casting, which is a change implemented later on in Velious. Since red has had this fix for years I assume this was just a really unfortunate oversight by the staff.

Hopefully the fix comes soon.

Proof?

Proof you couldn't instantly cancel a spell by ducking? See patch note below. Before the patch you had to be ducking by the time the spell finished casting for it to interrupt, but you could duck all you wanted during the cast and it would still continue and successfully cast if you were properly standing at the end of the timer. It would also allow people to click items and sit down to med and as long as you were properly standing at the end of the clickie cast time it would work. Excellent for Donal's BP and other long cast time items.

- Spell and Item Interruption: Ducking will now interrupt a spell
instantly.

As to OP, this has been raised numerous times.

Those patch notes also show that you should be able to hold aggro with DA as well. 5 Bard + warrior group for AOW tanking?

Thanks Ele. I had NO idea and do not recall THAT in particular during classic.

Well, classic or not I am not for this change. It's irrelevant imo. A little side thing that is a waste of time.

In the PvE environment you aren't benefiting from this in a major way and it makes game play easier considering there are lots of QoL changes that P99 staff has made which I think helps everyone.

Staff is working on making game classic so this is a no brainer 5 second fix to blue.

Like someone mentioned staff has known about this for a while. It's not getting changed.
