Healing / Buffs - No Faction Hits

While Faction grinding In Kael Arena on my Cleric, I've noticed that regardless of number of heals or buffs to anyone fighting mobs, zero faction hits occur.

Instead, healers must Melee, Nuke or root in order to gain a single faction hit.
Ive also noticed this is true for boss mobs such as Vindi etc. Makes it rather Difficult to faction as a pure healer...

Classic, clerics would have to sneak in a small nuke or run in to melee that few % to grab a faction hit on the bosses.

Search through eqclerics.org and you will see many threads on this topic. The result in all of them is what Ele suggests, the only guaranteed way to score faction hits is to nuke or melee.
