Hello all,
I am new to Project 1999. I started playing EQ about a month before the DoN expansion came out. I think that was in 2005. I played primarily on the Stromm server. I stopped playing just before the expansion that followed the 'House of Thule'. By then I had a DE SK and an Ogre shaman both at lvl 90, and a HE Enchanter that was, I think, lvl 80.
I decided to give this a shot to see what it was like playing EQ before the PoK and all the other things I was used to. Not sure what race / class I will choose yet.
On the server select screen I saw a whole lot of choices. Not sure what a lot of them are for, so I think I will stick with one of the Preferred Servers until I learn more. I'm not into PvP.
The person who told me about this said people in the game are pretty decent and helpful. I met a lot of great people playing EQ before I stopped, and I hope that trend continues.
