Heart of Frost from Perma?

Looking to complete the quest for the Staff of Temperate Flux (WIZ, Temple of Sol Ro) and the Heart of Frost is the last piece needed. On live I recall it
being a 1/3 drop rate off "a goblin wizard" in Permafrost, however I've gone through about 15 of them so far and no sign of it. Was this different in classic or changed on P99?

Appears to be rarer than live. 16 a goblin wizard kills before it dropped. There's a 100% wizard spawn just on the other side of the bridge past the archeologist

Ya it was rare as hell for me. Instead of camping it I just bound myself outside Permafrost and would alwayz kill the Wizard as logged on/off. Took a couple of weeks (so u figure about 20 kills) but I ended up gettin it.

I feel for you. I've haunted the Icy Goblin cell for both the Book of Frost and the Snow Ball. I see the heart a lot more than the snow ball. In a 6 hour camp the heart dropped twice.

Took me about 4 hours camping the 100% wizard, but it ended up dropping off another random one that spawned, good luck!

Speaking of perma...you guys been in there recently?

Buddy and I went 2 nights ago with our 30-34ish toons....had chain aggro for pretty much the whole zone. At one point we had IGs aggroed and we never even made it past the first hall.

Gave up and went someplace else rather than be good testers.

Something happened after last patch and the pathing in Permafrost is really bad now. Not to mention not being able to hit some of the mobs from certain angles depending on their placement, its weird. A lot of mobs doing that bouncing up to the ceiling as they run too.

the static wizard spawn drops it very, very frequently. not sure why it took you so long, probably got unlucky. i've camped it twice, and gotten it within the first few kills each time. maybe it just seems bad since it's a long respawn timer in perma, dunno. watch a movie or something while you camp shit, it makes time go by a lot faster.

There is one near the Archaeologist over that little bridge that used to drop it quite a bit. Haven't been back since the last patch though, so not sure if that helps.
