I was in a group and was trying to learn a new language. I kept getting a skill increase message but it didn't show a higher skill value in parentheses nor did my skill show as going up in my Skills list.
I had put 1 training into the language at my GM ahead of time too. What am I missing?

Lol.
That's odd about relogging/zoning. Wonder why it work different than all the other skills.

My theory has been that it's because it's group-dependent.

I have fond memories of doing language learning groups back on Live during Velious. We'd sit in gfay or the EC tunnel and just spam our own racial languages to teach it to everyone else. Too bad I don't think I've seen a single person on P99 ever say something in a different tongue than Common. I was surprised to read here that it even worked. I always assumed it didn't.
