In all the MMOs I have played over the years specially EQ, I never tried a shaman. I always meant to try it but never got around to it. My question I guess, I was thinking about toying with one as an alt, are they a hard class to learn/play effectively? easy to learn hard to master?
for reference I played a paladin (quite well I was often told, well past velius) and a rogue imo well up until about a year ago, and played a necro into the 50s allways solo (was alt ) and found I was mediocre at best.

Life's tough until you get root/pet, then the world really opens up for you.
Once you make it to epic level, it's laughably easy (albeit tedious) 50-60

You can safely drag your knuckles and play a Shaman at the same time once you hit 34. Level 14 is arguable, too.
It would take someone with a mental handicap to play that class wrong

Guess I'll be making an alt this weekend

The versatility of their spell list opens up a lot of zones for you. It's a great class & a lot of fun.

They are pretty straightforward to play. Solo pretty damn easy. Grouped they can be busy as hell to the point you pull your hair out and pee your pants because you can't leave.
Canni is great, but it sucks at the same time. :p And Oh by the way you will get damned go doing it, because you HAVE to. :(

There is a reason that 50% of the P99 population is composed of shamans :)
