New mage

Hello all,

I've decided to try Project 1999 out again and hopefully for the long haul. I created a mage named Clibik, he is lvl 5 now. I'm looking for others to enjoy the game casually with. I would like you find a good leveling guild and make friends to group or duo with. With anyone wants to xp send a tell. I live is CST and play 7pm-12am off and on when I can.

Don't listen to this. PLay what you find the most interesting and fun, you can take any class and sell it in a good or bad light, it's really about your preference. Also, if i see you around in game I will hit you up with some cleric buffs! Add Height to your friends list and shoot me a tell if you see me on.

If you are a 'good' race I suggest Greater Faydwar until 16ish. There is a lot to do in the zones around GFay and the Crushbone belts/Shoulderpads are really good for xp and extra money for spells.

I thought a mage could solo all the way up to 60? A necro was my second choice. I just want to make sure I can get groups and solo if need be?

mage is fun. its a great relaxing change from my chanter main. the pets are tough, the nukes are hard, you can usually run away before shit really hits the fan. whats not to love?

There is NO class you can play easy till 60 I don't care who you are.

I would admit without Crowd Control, a Mage is not maybe the best to "solo" to 60, but no Ranger, Druid, Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, I know I have forgot a few, is going to do it either. :D

Maybe a Chanter, Bard, Shaman with 300k of gear might, Necro, I sort of doubt, can either. :p

So I would not worry about NOT being able to solo to 60. Takes more skill to do that than 95% of the people on here can do, so just go for the Mage and be happy. :D
