Spells file problem on linux with wine

I am aware of the stated solution, but I have followed the instructions for preparation in linux.


this is what i'm seeing:

I have unzipped the zip file from: https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2651

into "/home/mgooch/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Sony/EverQuest"

and I removed

arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
arena.eqg
lavastorm.eqg
Nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
nektulos.eqg

i'm not sure why there is a problem or what to do about this, given I unzipped the files.

I believe I had a similar problem originally and fixed it by tweaking the eqclient.ini, which is posted as part of my linux setup guide (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126081).

If this isn't the guide you followed, can you try this one and see if it helps?
