necro epic help please

im in the process of doing my epic, and im trying to get the Manisi Herb.
Now the P99 wiki epic quest pages states that

"Next, head to Chardok with 1-2 groups of level 54+. The herb you need drops from Grand Herbalist Mak'ha, located in the Herb House in the mines of Chardok. The Herb House is located North of the Chardok Bank, behind a waterfall and small stream. Alternately, it can be reached from the Bridge Keeper or the 'Ledge path' as you descend into the mines.
'A Dizok Herbalist' is the placeholder for the Grand Herbalist, and always spawns in the Herb House, guarded by many Chokidai and Apprentice Herbalists. The Grand Herbalist does not drop the Mansi Herb every time. It's his uncommon, possibly rare, drop"

and the Chardok zone map doesn't list this mob, and says the the Royal Sarnak Herbalist only drops it.

any necros who have there epic able to help with this ?

Well, you can skip this by killing Kazen Fecae with a raid (60 warrior, 2 60 clerics, 1 kiter, and 4-5 DPS will suffice).

If you don't have such a force on hand, I dunno how realistic doing a necro epic is however, the mob you seek is in the Royals area (The description you list above is for getting the herb AFTER the October 2001 Revamp of Chardok. We have the first version):

Bottom left corner is royals area. Enter the locked door into royals area (you need a Rogue with 201 Lockpick), go inward and past the second locked door (be aware of the fake floor trap at this 2nd locked door). Inside this room just behind that second locked door is the mob you are after. He stands immediately next to the false wall at the opposite side of the room from where you entered to the hallway.

(-850,+850) is his location (Y,X) coordinates based on that map.

The hallway has 4 roaming mobs that you will need to contend with at the same time, so bring an enchanter.

Once those 4 are killed, move your group to the opposite end of the hall and pet pull the herbalist through the fake wall towards your group and FD split him.

He has a 2 hourish (maybe 90min?) respawn and a place holder. He also doesn't drop the herb every time he is killed. So this is a REALLY shitty camp to sit there and try to get. It is best to either tag along with a Royals raid or join a group that is farming Royals every 2 hour.

Necro epic is both impossible to get on this server and terrible (at least until root/snare stack).

Chardok definitely first thing in epic that can't be solo'd... but as posted above, you can just kill Kazean to spawn the mob chain!

It's the accomplishment and prestige. I have only been on P99 a few weeks(2.5) and I haven't seen a necro epic yet. However, I've seen numerous of most others epics. I wish you well on your quest! One day I hope I will be following in your steps with the epic.

Once velious & hate/fear revamps are out necro epic will become alot more possible for those not in bigger raiding guilds with fear golems and hate minis dropping the hard to get epic pieces.

I frankly wouldn't worry about working on the necro epic until then unless you're in one of those guilds that gets those kills on Inny and CT.

It takes roughly the same amount of people to kill the herbalist as it does Kazen but lots less time to do Kazen, because there's no fighting/invis'ing to him and he's virtuallly always up and waiting for you instead of a PH.

The Herbalist is down the bottom of Chardock next to the king/queen prep area.
A hard place to get to.
You will need invis and a rog to get there.

A tough job. Not impossible, but tough.
As the Herbalist is not always up and the Mansi Herb is a rare drop.

You will be fighting in tight spaces, so Snare is very important.

The necro epics (duck sticks) are most definitely out there, but a lot of parts are in play for the necro epic that require a lot of assistance (and persistence) and make it one of the more difficult epics to attain.

1) Kazen fight (or everything before it [chardok etc.] in lake rathe) + the mob chain
2) Cape from Sky
3) CT blood (can be bought)
4) Innoruk eye (can be bought)

So in theory, the biggest bottleneck is the Sky cape (since this is not a guaranteed drop and can't be bought or MQ'd). In reality though, it just takes a lot of luck and persistence (most importantly)! Keep at it, I'm sure one day your duck stick will be had (it gets easier with revamp of course [well as far as getting the blood and eye]).

Like a lot of necro main-handers, the epic is rather situtational; but worth it imo.

I have a necro alt, would love to finish my necro epic but the bottom line is I'm not spending weeks/months of my life grinding to pay the guild(s) who have the CT/Inny parts for sale.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend grinding to get plat to pay for the inny and ct item. But guilds are very generous to members who show up for raids and help, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a committed raid necro be awarded both those items to complete their epic.

Taken has done probably 10 or so CT kills in the last year. 4 AoNs, 5 Puppet Strings, 4 Soul Leeches, 3 Cazic Skins... 0 Slime Bloods.

Their rarity or our bad luck, is ridiculous. They remain quite rare on the golems come revamp too :/. I'm not holding my breath getting my Necro his duck stick.
