Any idea how to solve this without going full screen?

use imgur to host images, it's probably your monitor itself

or dont use imgur, I'm a weirdo who likes to paw through other people's photobuckets

Definitely isn't a monitor issue because it goes away when I go borderless.

The glitch I'm talking about is the line through the text. Looks like it got cut in half and lose a pixel in the middle.

I can't see a line through the text? But then I can't view the image at it's full resolution for some reason from the photobucket site.

I play at that res in windowed mode and the text in the chat windows don't have lines through them, but every 8-10 pixel lines on the vertical the text will become 'scrunched' as if a pixel line was missing.

I am personally just writing it off as an unnatural screen resolution (1920x1080, widescreen) for the client (Titanium) for the time it was released. The reason I play in Windowed mode was because of the 4:3 border issue when in full screen using a widescreen resolution, clicking outside of the 4:3 border resulted in the game window minimising.

What I did to solve this is to use a custom resolution that doesn't extend beyond the bounds of the monitor you use.

I play with these settings in my eqclient and experience no text display issues

WindowedWidth=1910
WindowedHeight=990

custom resolution looks real goog

Which file do I edit resolution in for wineq2?

edit the eqclient.ini you're using for that program, may even be the default one

I had the same issue, and the only thing I was able to find that worked was editing the resolution in eqclient.ini to 1920/1063.

You might have to experiment with different values until you find one that works for you. I would suggest starting with a fairly low number,which will result in a window that's a bit smaller than your screen, so there's a gap at the bottom of the screen. Then work your way higher till it's the same size as your screen.

I suspect it's the size of the title bar that needs to be subtracted from the resolution, so it will vary depending on your OS or what size your titlebars are set to. It appears EQ is trying to cram a fullscreen worth of pixels into the window, which is why there are distortions along vertical lines and no distortion horizontally.
