I just discovered P99 and really was excited. I went to that "one" website to download the game and I immediately got all kinds of malicious stuff on my computer. Just got done reformatting my computer and won't be going there again. Is there any hope for somebody who isn't willing to go to those shady sites? Besides the obvious option of paying a ridiculous amount of money for the box. Thanks for any help.

Even if you bought the box you could probably easily resell it again at the same price.

a multi-browser adblocker like adfender and malware bytes to scan afterward will go a long way with these types of things

I had clicked the download button, it asked me if I wanted to open up Everquesttitanium.exe and I said yes(I know, stupid of me) which then proceed to blow up my computer with all kinds of stuff. I found the game through other means and have been playing like a madman since.

Yeah you dont click the download button. You click the little button that says download torrent. The big download button is just malware.

Just to make sure we're all clear...don't do this.

Why not? If someone really doesnt want to torrent they can atleast resell the trash they bought.

I wouldn't do it, but I don't see an alternative for anyone looking to start if they flat out won't 'download' :/

Got any friends who do download things? Maybe ask them to do it for you and put it on a USB stick.
