It was interesting seeing the division between happy and sad folks today at work.
When anyone asked me about it today my answer was, "well how do you feel about it?"
I never realized I worked with so many homophobes.

I knew becoming a minister for free online would financially benefit me some day. Gay weddings for everyone!

I think that people will do what they want either way.
I am neither for or against gay marriage. However, I think certain protections that come with marriage should be shared. There are just certain rights that both parties of a relationship should have. Noone should be taken advantage of.
With marriage, also comes divorce. Good fortune is best when its shared.

I live in central Texas. In Austin, it's all good since it's much more liberal than the rest of the state. Outside of Austin? You can't even voice support for people being LGBT without some tea party nut foaming at the mouth about the "gay agenda".

Exalted Caesar, thank you for this bread and delightful circus. Yes, you may "rectally feed" without medical necessity more 17-year-old kidnapees in my name.

Some neighborhoods in Austin have a predominantly LGBT population. Crestview and Tarrytown come to mind, they are also areas where the real estate is at a premium. I am fully in support of marriage, whether it's same-sex or the more "traditional" form. I think most of have enough shit to worry about, and certainly being freakishly concerned over another person's sexual nature is absurd as fuck. The ones who screech the loudest about how gays are evil, are usually flaming closet-cases one step away from jazzhands and a ball-change on Broadway.
I could not care less if members of the same sex want to get married.
Insert dad joke - Now they can be miserable like the rest of us

I live in downtown Atlanta, and there are still people partying in the streets. We have a huge gay population.

It would be funny if gay marriages all were really successful, with divorce rates near zero. Everyone would be wtf. I know that's of course not gonna happen, but it would truly be hilarious if it did work out that way. Straight people would be, wait a second, what the hell are we doing wrong?
I think it's a good day. I'm happy when people fall in love. It's a hard world. it needs as much love as possible.
