I figured the ban was a smokescreen in a couple cases. The good items and plat were offloaded to a mule account. Likely, the "banned" players who were used to take out Vapo will appear as "newbs" , probably in TMO and once they get PL'ed will then go to Empire. A better deal than what Samsung got neh? at least they get "witness protection"

Nirgon "left" the game to mitigate any possible fallout from the pills for pixels that might arise. He's likely going to either play back on blue, or will be one of the above mentioned "newbs" in the TMO feeder guild.

But they needed an insider, someone who loved the spotlight and someone who knew about asain culture. There were a few to volunteer but only one to take the fall. He has done so and now that the lie has been exposed people are slowly becoming aware of the real threat to p99: scurvy. They have a plantation already in place and a system of trading pixels for Asian sweets with all of the labor coming from a direct American lineage. Word has it what when the next phase happens sometime in the next month they will be moving the operation to a portion of north Korea. There is an ever increasing interest for eq in that country since word hit the wire about the rebirth of holocaust era thinking in a 16 year old online elf simulation. Being the avid gamer that many 30 somethings are the king of that land agreed to meet and merge with the kings of norrath. So long story short, nirgon quit because he wants to move to north korea to eat oranges, fight scurvy, take care of the growing brood mother and prepare for velious.

Nirgon is Platlord and actually works for Sirken and Rogean, who generate PP for him to sell to unsuspecting RMTers so that the devs always have a database of who to ban. Knowing that those players will ultimately come back and buy more plat they create a never ending cycle of cash flow for themselves. Nirgon gets busted selling uppers with the plat that he was given and the devs sell Nirgon out as a bargaining chip to the feds, and rather than ban the account with all of the platinum they just publicly retire his forum account. This explains why platlord is never banned and why Nirgon is never banned. The devs then switch to selling items as platlord rather than platinum to keep the economy from being saturated, thus keeping the value of PP high enough to establish a market rate on items and allow velious inflation to not hurt their cash flow based upon the amount of pp that will be pumped into the economy then. This also explains the sudden and astronomical spike in price for the AoN, as it now has a real world value attached to it proportional to the amount of PP it is worth in game.

Post blind nerf, just looked at my deaths none by Fandango. Soooo one of the most gimp PvP classes took out the most OP class in the game 1v1. Stay mad nerd.

Nirgon was poppin his own pills and accidentally purchsed his own RMT'd goods off redguides. After mailing himself the pills to pay for his own pixels he went out to his mailbox and opened the package he had just sent to himself. He immediately started doing more pain killers and then was so fucked up he accidentally deleted his own character. He posted a goodbye thread on the forums to cover up the fact that he accidentally deleted his own character while being fucked up on pills. Don't worry he will be back as soon as his character is restored.

Nirgon got hired as lead GM for Daybreak's new classic Item Loot Teams Server, so will have to lay off the p1999 for a bit.

Partially true, but you have misread the numbers.

The second part of the Daybreak/P99 agreement which will be announced in August is that Daybreak will assume operations of P99 for the release of Velious. Nirgon will lead the team that implements microtransactions into the game.

There will be many forms of payment accepted.
