IP exemptions.. how long?

I've had a petition in for a couple days now without any response. Was hoping to duo with my brother his weekend but that's seeming like a bust. How long does it usually take to get an exemption?

My "that sucks" comes from me wanting to play some old style EQ1 while my brother was here in town, but since the only 1 IP thing prevents that, and the time it takes for the petitions to go through, I can say "that sucks" at least for me.

But I guess you're right, Ms. Cleo, I am ungrateful and will get banned for something.

Being jacked up on caffeine and nicotine coupled with the fact I've been getting shit ever since I came out in '06 probably doesn't help either.

I would say to expect an IP exemption in 2 to 4 weeks.

They're pretty low priority and as previously stated they're done in batches. A lot of people ragequit and make a deal about the wait so they're even more distasteful now.

The last guy claimed that the lack of IP exemption in a timely matter made his wife commit suicide or something...

So yeah, people are gonna auto-hate on you for asking. =P

I got a reply in my thread. Just be patient, no need to bump your post. Ask and ye shall receive. I waited 4 or 5 days, but I think I was on the lucky end of the batch. We got our exemptions on Friday if that helps. So if it's 2-3 weeks typically, take that for what it's worth.

So they do them on Fridays? If so many people are asking and waiting, then i would think thats a big hit to the server population. Why wouldn't they check it more frequently? or make it one of the developers main assignments. I never wouldve cared except that ive leveled to level 32 and am trying to get 2 others in my house an exemption. Before anyone flames me......No I don't feel entitled. I just see this as kind of an important part of maintaining the server that shouldnt take 2-4 weeks. Anything that makes kunark come out faster i guess =p

Before anyone flames me......No I don't feel entitled. I just see this as kind of an important part of maintaining the server that shouldnt take 2-4 weeks. Are you proficient in server maintenance? The 2-4 week time is someone's guess. *Usually* requests are answered within a week; 2 tops. If the first petition doesn't include all the necessary information, then I ask for it, and it takes longer. If something breaks that is more important than an IP exemption, then I fix it first.

Anything that makes kunark come out faster i guess =pLearn eqemu development, and cease being rhetorical. That will help me help you.

Lol calm down Nilbog. I wasn't being rhetorical, and I really wanted to know if you do them on fridays. I understand its free and the server takes work etc. I was just truely curious as to how the system works and why it works the way it does. I don't know what an ip exemption involves, so that would help illustrate it better as well. As for what free job i do and how frequently....I review herbal blend incense...and i do a group of videos roughly every week because i like to do them all at once.........oh wait maybe thats why you do yours every week or so. Ok my bad. So anyways, how bout that exemption?:)

people work and go to school during the weekdays and being able to play with friends/family right as the weekend is about to hit is really enjoyable because you can play all night and not have to wake up in the morning

Yeah I am hoping some will be done by this weekend so me and my brother can do some duo'ing, been spending the week on my necro getting some plat up / gear so we can get the ball rollin'

I got mine within days my my request. Of course, me being all slow and such, the other side of the exemption request had his half of the request in for a couple of weeks.
