Sir Lucan D'Lere: Message Intercept

While Sir Lucan responds to the phrase 'I am from the shrine of Innoruuk' and tells you to go find the messenger, he does not accept the note taken from Mojak Hikspin, nor says the following:

Sir Lucan D`Lere says 'So I see you decided to bring me the message. Good. I would hate to have to hunt you down. It could have gotten really messy and I hate reading bloodstained messages. Well it seems Antonius Bayle and the Knights of Truth have begun an alliance. And it sounds as though I may have a traitor among my guards. If you wish to switch your allegiance to Freeport, then find me this traitor. Bring me his militia tunic. Try to keep the blood from staining it.'

He just takes the note, and says nothing, no reward, response, or anything.

However, he does accept the tunic from Guard Alayle in the second part of the quest, called "The Traitor" without problems:

Note: Alternatively giving the note to Raltur Caliskon works as expected.

The note that Mojax Hikspin was dropping from his corpse was a different ID than Lucan was expecting. However, the note Mojax drops on the ground is the correct ID, so this would have worked for people who got the note from the dropped item, but not the kill.

Tried again, after that 3:45AM earthquake thing while Lucan was briefly up. He would not accept the message from Mojax Hikspin (probably not updated yet), nor the militia tunic that dropped off of Guard Alayle, even though the tunic at least worked before on the same character. He just ate the stuff with no response or hits. I would have tried again, but Lucan doesn't stay living (or unliving) for long.
