Drakar's Amazing underwater adventures: Episode 1 - Kedge Keep

I began my Sunday evening with my mid-afternoon tribute to Lord Cazic Thule. I prayed in appreciation of my band of battle-hardened companions and for the downfall of a ruthless tyrant RMT overlords that currently rule the server with an iron fist!

After my daily prayers to Cazic Thule, I heard a whisper from beyond: "Drakar, my astute follower, wearer of Phara Dars Robe, greatest necromancer to have graced Norrath; You must help a fellow follower of Cazic Thule, Legday, who requires pixels to defeat the blasphemous tyrants, who have formed an <Empire> within our realms."

Cazic Thule's voice boomed loud in my mind, with a vision of dead foes and a great bounty of treasure flowing over their corpses. To Kedge Keep we went to begin our pursuit of the fabled treasure of Shellara Ebbhunter; the Pearlescent Mask.

We spent many hours killing these Gloomwater beasts; corpses were piling and the treasure was bountiful. Many gems had dropped from these beasts, we lined our pockets with treasure, however, Shellara Ebbhunter was no where to be seen. We then were interrupted with shouting; we heard the blasphemous voices of tyrannical <Empire> scum. Outnumbered and without advantage, we ran around frantically looking for them, knowing that every treasonous moment they breath air, the gods bellowed in anger.

We found these scumlords preparing in Phinnigal's lair and were ambushed by a prepared and fully buffed group with an epic Mage pet. Fearlessly I tanked the pet with vexing morodinia ticking away on Devastation while chain defluxxing, but it was no good. The power of their 60 cleric and out of range healers was too much for this duo.

I fled the battle over Phinnigal's lair, and by the blessing of Cazic Thule, his minions turned on the blasphemous Elemental and destroyed the heretic Magician, Devastation; the first casualty for the night.

The Cleric and out of range healers both had chosen to gate thus becoming the first victory for the night. We declared Kedge Keep purged of heretics and continued lining our pockets with treasures hoping to see Shellara Ebbhunter.

Alas, we had a vision from Cazic Thule; the blasphemous <Empire> had returned with a force even greater. A turncoat Bard Leluyn, The stupid Cleric Stoopy, The RMTstaff Monk Flipp, The corwardly Cleric Veemoda and of course their out of range druid healer and guide; Caro.

Legday ran out as a diversion while I hoped for them to chase to bring a pet up at the entrance, but alas they did not follow. Stoopy and Flipp came at me and I carefully dotted and avoided both of them. Flipp landed a hit! First hit proc! It appears that his RMTstaff was imbued with the power of a new diety that has risen with <Empire>: Paypal. Recovering from this otherworldly luck I continued losing them in the tunnels; and then it happened Shellara Ebbhunter appeared like a mythical beast. She pummelled Flipp, while his cleric companion healed all parties while my dots were ticking away. Foolishly Flipp pursued me and soon Shellara Ebbhunter was assisted by Estrella of Gloomwater. I watched as they were both torn asunder and proceeded to damage Leluyn who was isolated with his out of range druid companion and guide, Caro and his pocket healer Veemoda. Legday joined the fight and they were soon dispersed, running into mobs like hopeless cattle into the slaughterhouse. Alas I could not compete with the damage of these beasts and watched them all get run down, robbing me of the recognition.

Just when I thought it was all over I found Flipp feigned in a corner and began casting dots on him, having no mob aggro at this point. He ran at me with the biggest train one could comprehend and feigned in front of me, dropping the wrath of Kedge upon my head. Legday finished the blasphemous trainer and narrowly missed the killing shot, with Shellara Ebbhunter taking the last hit and rightfully so.

Cazic Thule gave me another chance and rebirth was given to me. I was offered a port by a cute Wood Elf and entered the fray again, fighting with Flipp who was also rebirthed and his cleric who had somehow fled yet again; the cowardly Veemoda.

Outgeared yet again, Veemoda was destroyed by Legday and had dissipated into thin air between Dagnor's Couldron and Butcherblock mountains; Flipp also vanishing, as if they were plugged from reality.

I recovered my corpse and witnessed their out of range healer/guide dragging their numerous corpses to the entrance. Legday accompanied me to Shellara Ebbhunter and we quickly dispatched her; Cazic Thule had blessed us with the bountiful treasure:

We proceeded to line our pockets with the spoils of Kedge Keep and watched over their decaying corpses for hours as Veemoda magically appeared and dissipated from their respective zonelines with 1% health.

The power of a determined and well oiled team against the hopeless, poorly organised and blasphemous Zerg <Empire>.

Some responders are getting kinda crabby. You guys should try to enjoy this stuff even though it involves a couple of the guys on your team dying. I wish we would all stop being so sensitive about PvP-related deaths, especially given that we're on a PvP server.
