Beware the wikki! It's just plain WRONG about things (not to say it isn't very helpful, but there are serious errors also)
Jyle Windshot for instance listed as level 30!? My 15 cleric conned him, he was green to me!
Listing for the Death of Lyda Nasin quest. I have no idea where to begin. How a low level "evil" character can even get to where this Lyda is supposed to be? Nah. Not without someone helping you who can invis you, Lyda is only there in the evening in place of Nasin. No idea what this placeholder the wikki speaks of? It can't be the other Nasin he cons red to my 15, and no they trade places at day/evening. Not a low level quest. Or maybe just yet another shitty EverQuest "quest"...

The wiki is community edited...it's a wiki. :)
If you find errors please edit the offending entries with correct info and help make it as accurate as possible.

Think an August 2010 join date would know that...or troll?

Another thing is 'Stone Skeletons' in Lake Rathetear. They aren't as easy as the WIKI says. They hit harder and cast some pretty decently dmg mage spells.
I recommend getting help even if you are a level 34 mage.

Wait, so because a community-edited wiki had a bit of incorrect information, you took the time (more time than it would have taken to just fix the wiki page) to come here and complain?
In other news, used car salesmen don't always tell the truth.

I would say a majority of the information on the wiki (outside of the player guides) is just information straight up copied and pasted from Allakhazam which means it's the most inaccurate when it comes to zones that have been revamped.

Register and edit it, the wiki is only as good as the community who takes the time to make it perfect.

I think it's even easier than that: IIRC your forum account is your wiki account, so no separate registration is required.

IIRC, there are supposed to be two (I think) Jyle Windshots. One in WFreeport. One in EFreeport. There is a story behind this-- imposter.

Huh, guess I just used the same username/password for both a long time ago and forgot I that registered on the wiki.
They really should use the same sign-on for both, but I guess that would require either custom code or upgrading both the wiki software and the forum software (and we all know how popular the last forum software upgrade was ...)
Over half the stuff I want edited is not editable.
Yeah...editing out bad info is hard when a bunch of stuff is protected even from registered members. For example, the code on the tables in the Warsliks Woods page is completely messed up (tables within tables...tables are the devil) and I can't actually do anything about it.

Some parts of the wiki are auto-generated using wiki helpers (or macros, or whatever they are called). If the content of those sections is off, you can fix it by editing the original source of the material. For instance, if the Warsliks Woods page lists the wrong loot for A Skulking Brute, you just need to edit the "A Skulking Brute" page and then the Warsliks Woods page will update automatically.
If however the helper/macro/whatever itself is broken (as seems to be the case with the Warsliks Woods page currently), then only wiki admins can fix it. The only wiki admin I know of is Rahvin; I'd recommend PMing him about the page.
Still, only a very small part of the wiki (pretty much just the helper things and the front page) is controlled by admins. Everything else, (99% of the wiki) is editable by everyone.

I agree with that. Few things I have tried, like 70% of it, I was not able to change. Just gave up trying to do it. :( But that was a long time ago, maybe has changed?
