Chanter epic even worth it at 60?

Wondering if sock ing verina and vessel are even worth it for speed of the shissar. Spending countless hours at these spawns with competition is a huge waste of time.

When you're mobilizing for a critical target, the recast time on VoG can be a burden. It's also easier to haste bind rushing melees with SoS since you can still cast it with zero mana.

Honestly I cast it on noobs more than in raiding situations, which alone makes it worthwhile. However, you just need to be on one time sensitive CR in a raid to make the epic worthwhile. Also provides you with a mana free junk buff at times. Waste of time? Definitely not. Substantial time investment with payout not equal to investing at other camps? Probably. Just depends on how you play.

First: Heck ya it's worth it. Because all epics in this game are by far the best in slot item even throughout Velious.

Second: The clicky alone is a mana saver and well worth it in raids. Initial VoG, yes, but recovery or quick "Here you go" buff, is a simple click on the snake.

That's why you don't camp it.

You just bind there and solo them when sim repops happen. Get yourself a wand of allure, and a reaper of the dead. Don't bother trying to slow either of them, just charm pets, and use wand on breaks, keep yourself runed, haste+weaponize pets, and use Reaper CH on yourself/pet if required.

Though they are level 60 mobs, DWing hasted level 50 NPCs handle them quite well.

Honestly though I've never understood the VoG lust on this server. 25 DEX and 20 ATK. Meh. That isn't make or break for anyone. It's a nice buff to get before a camp out For a raid mob to maximize DPS and have full duration. But for a planar raid where you're there for 3 hours, you're better pulling more mobs letting enchanter use mana to CC and keeping pullers in camp while they add DPS to offset the 1 DPS people gain with that 20 ATK/25DEX.

Enchanter epic haste is boss. Can't wait til I can click mine $$$.

This isn't a bad idea. I imagine charming a trooper for vessel, but there's only dark green guards around verina. Just keep throwing st her? Also that CH...reaper could work but isn't it pretty pricey?

If you solo, its by far one of the best things to have in your arsenal. Let pets die, quickly recharm and free rehaste another - endless slaying / exp.

i always ask for epic haste just cuz i know its easier on the mana, especially on red99 which tends to be more melee heavy and less chanters. vog good for tanks tho who need the dex.

I picked a Trooper of opportunity for Vessel. Done it twice, any old trooper will do. They come pre-weaponized also.

As for Verina, yes the guards blow. Don't use them. There are 3? Dark Blue mobs in that zone to a level 60. The best one in my limited testing of Max hits is Draan N'yrt. He roams near spot #12 on the Neriak map. It is the opposite side of the zone so you can either tag Verina and run there with invis rings or DE illusion. Or you can go charm him and bring him to her.

Either way you do it, you will want to set your pet up with junk buffs. Mez pet -> Root pet -> Tash Pet -> Charm pet. When pet's Mez ends, throw a strengthen on him. When root ends throw a See Invis or Feedback. Then haste him. This will stack his buffs:

Making *most annuls* remove the top two which you can easily replace. Strengthen/See Invis (Bracer of the Hidden) are most mans efficient options. Putting Haste/Feedback in deeper slots to prevent their dispels can help make sure he is always doing Max DPS.

He needs weapons to DW, just two junk weapons or a torch (for the time being) works.

If you do happen to get pet dispelled, just use Wand of Allure. It's not worth wasting time trying to restack buffs or cast another charm. Do as little to aggro Verina as you can so that your pet is regaining aggro nearly immediately. If the fight isn't looking like it's in your favor you can attempt to Tash/slow him.

When she starts trying to cast CHs, get in there and melee her. Yea it's only 4-5 hits (haste yourself beforehand), but any push helps. If she channels a CH you'll likely need to get her slowed and burn a reaper charge on your pet. Charm breaks will be more dicey at this point since she will have a lot more aggro on you. You can attempt to fetter her though to make aggro irrelevant.

Wand of Allure costs like 250 buy back (500ish to recharge yourself).
Reaper costs about 720 buy back (1.5k to recharge yourself).

So they are expensive but worth it. In both cases, it may be easier to get a new one instead of doing the recharge. Wands drop 1-4ish times per clear of Fear and doing Thex Mallet can take only 15min sometimes if luck is on your side.

I agree, 25 DEX on my warrior is only time I ask for VoG and only when I'm MT. But my warriors gear is bad (Crafted BP - Q_Q). But with DEX from Shaman and better gear, I'm pretty sure warriors max out DEX, and they definitely will in Velious.

At which point the 12 AC on SoS looks quite tasty IMO. Not that chanters will be super busy on most Velious raids.

only crafted piece i have left is arms. feels good to be free of that gear but it will be missed as it took me to 55 :)

Yea. Find some random vendor in Neriak and throw 1k on a level 1 DE Enchanter with Max CHA.

Sell the mules, log over to your enchanter, sell his and buy back, then log back over to the mule and buy his back.
