Hiya all! I just registered with the website and ordered my Titanium which should be in soon. I've had such a blast playing on the new Ragefire server and then I found out about this project. It brings back such good memories of the game as it used to be. Well, mostly used to be.

Anyway, once I get everything installed, I hope to see some of you around in-game.

Hey nice. Welcome Aboard if you get it going. You will love P1999 if you played EQ early on. Ragefire, which I played the Beta, is just not very "Classic" at all. FAR from it. No way am I going to play it. Let alone Pay to play it. :eek:

Hi Webrunner and Thana. Thanks for the welcome. I already had an all access pass for EQ2 and Landmark so it was just and extra and happy coincidence learning about the new server. Anyway, I picked EQ up in 2000, there was no POK books and we ran everywhere, naked many times, heehe. So yeah, that parts missing from Ragefire, but it still brings back memories of the game. Can't wait to get my discs in the mail, Amazon says the 10th, we'll see. Hope to talk to you guys ingame then.

Biggest problem I have with Ragefire is they are using basically the Luclin Graphics in Classic zones. There is NO EC and WC, just one zone, and Oasis of Marr is not even there. And WC is just Wonked city wise. It is NO way Classic.

Every time Sony, this new company, comes out with a "Progression Server" they screw it up so bad it is scary. :mad: What the hell are they thinking??

This is the first time I've played on a progression server so I'm not really sure what to expect. Nothing beats the original game, imo. I noticed that about EC/WC as well. Had just run through Kithicor and had a nice train of bears behind me when I realized there was no zone line to save me :eek:

Anyway, I'm looking forward to relearning the game as it was intended.

Oh wow, didn't even realize EQ has changed that much since I haven't played since Planes of Power. Wow, that is crazy. Even more happy that Project 1999 exists knowing that!

Hmmm, having trouble finding where to PM. It's been one of those days.

I will tell you that some lucky bugger got their asking price of just over $100 from me. I'd been watching the price fiddle around on Amazon at around $179 and when it got to under $110 I pulled the trigger. And of course there's one up right now for $99. I'm calling it a belated birthday present to myself and moving along.
