Innoruuk Cleric: human or darkelf?

So, we all know Innoruuk priests are pretty cool with their snare necklaces!

However, which race makes the better Innoruuk cleric?

Dark Elf gets hide.

Human gets clicky fear (http://wiki.project1999.com/Terror_Forged_Mask) saving a spell gem.

Which is the best of the two? List your reasons!

Really though. I have a 60 DE Cleric with the necklace.

It's very bad. Lasts 5-6 ticks. Resist a lot on mobs that matter.

When doing Sebilite Protector with 3-4 people, I'll spend about 4-5 clicks before I get a snare to stick when he is Tash'd and Malo'd. Yes he is quite MR but still, on most mobs where snare matters, it is going to resist once or twice.

It has prevented mobs from running and saved me mana from needing to heal from an add or it getting rooted and continuing to fight. But it isn't as awesome as "snare on a cleric" sounds.

Human has better stats all around - more STR which is great if you are a nub and can't buy weight reduction bags, more STA, and significantly more CHA which is great for calms. The 8 less wisdom is completely negligible. It is incredibly easy to hit WIS softcap in Kunark and in Velious it will be a complete joke. The Fear clicky is a total bonus as well. Hide is nowhere near as good as it was before it got nerfed and you can arguably live without it.

I have been friends with excellent Human and Dark Elf inny clerics and they are great players and (circumstantially) equally effective. Really at the end of the day its all up to whether or not you know how to root CC, calm and atone effectively, keep a fast heal in your spell bar, know when to get heal agro and pop DA, and all those other goodies that your run-of-the-mill LCY cleric just doesn't quite understand.

Really it comes down to aesthetics imo. Humans look awful in plate imo. Female models not so bad, except ugh that helm graphic. And dark elves wearing plate are badass incarnate.

Roll Human, get to 29, farm SolA for XP and Block of High Quality Ore, plus cash drops, accumulate and imbue 7 or 8 sapphires, find a human cultural smith to make you some very cool looking plate armor (with stupidly bad stats other than AC), retire to the EC tunnel as the best looking toon they will ever see there.

Speaking of Fashion quest, whats a cool looking staff for clerics?

My dark elf is wearing a burynai robe, plate helm, bronze boots, carries a chitin shield but his appearance is kinda let down by the journeyman's staff.

Obviously an epic would be ideal, but that isn't going to happen any time soon, so what are my alternatives? (lvl 35)

I'm curious to hear more people's thoughts on OP's original question. I just rolled a DE cleric the other day, but I'm questioning whether I should have rolled Human instead to get the fear clicky. How useful is the fear clicky, and do Dark Elves get anything else (besides Hide) which makes up for it?
