What level would you think a Rogue could solo to with Fungi, Epic and good solid gear? I am coming back to Blue99, leaving Red99 but want to play more casually and solo. I always loved Rogues but not sure what problems Ill face trying to solo 40+.

Anyone?

Plan on grouping often, fungi or not it will be the most efficient. That said everytime ive soloed on my rogues i either got sick of it immediatly and grouped, or went on an actual solo class.
Tldr; Plan on only soloing between groups

Missed the question about what level to. 40 ish would be my guess as well, but could be higher with the right camps. If you wanna solo, make another class though imo

High 30s -low 40s with fungi. If you can reliably get intimidate to work maybe 45 but that would be slow. The amount of soloing grinding and bandages even with fungi would be pretty slow. A fungi'd rogue in a group can literally power a group to mid 40s even pulling aggro. Once in that range it becomes less effective. I banked mine at that put for better stat bp.

I soloed to 52 in dreadlands with a fungi before the instill doubt! nerf.

I was able to get to 32 before I called it quits. I was doing some very ninja sneek pulling and 180 flips over my enemies, shocking and aweing them while I hit thier kiddies and backbones with deep painful stabs.

After 32, I just gave up. I hate xping on greens and blues were starting to do too much damage.

I'm sure it's possible, if geared a little uniquely for it, to go a few more levels solo.

I soloed in solA.

I solo'd to 52 while ID was still OP'd, did 35-46 or so in OT, then moved to DL for 46-52. You could probably get away with soloing to 48 or so in OT, but DL mobs are going to hit too hard without instill doubt being reliable.

I solo'd my rogue up to level 57 while intimidate and invis pulling worked, in lower guk. I had fungi, epic, and bloodpoint as my only relevant gear. Would single pull with intimidate then spam it during the fight, when it worked you could turn sneak and hide on and bandage yourself. A lot of those things are nerfed now though, but I'm sure you could make it into your low 50's.

I heard rumors there was a poison made of vendor bought reagents that lowered attack speed

How bad did they nerf Intimidation and when did they nerf it? I soloed as a rogue up to level 49 back in 2013 and it wasn't bad occasionally there was a little downtime after a bad fight but it was doable and certain camps were actually really good solo and easy to hold onto.

Instill Doubt was changed on live at some point to be a completely different spell. We had the live version up until a few months ago when it was reverted to be the classic version. The way the spell works on live had a much, much, much higher chance of success than the classic version did. It can still work on blue mobs now, but assume less than 20% success rate, really.

Instill Doubt was basically a useless skill during classic due to how unreliable it was.

Here it was FAR too easy to fear mobs using that skill, and as a result many monks, Warriors and rogues soloed very easily.

The poster above talking about fearing mobs in LGuk then invising and bind wounding while the mob ran away feared, comes back and somehow doesn't bring a train is down right criminal. Invis pulling, and broken sneak pulling/instill doubt made leveling way too easy in many scenarios.

It's also no longer instant, only activating after the animation. Previously you could avoid the mob until it came off cool down then take a round of combat to try and get an intimidate off and keep on moving. Maybe oh still can but timing the animation is hard, and I'm not sure if you have to be in range of the target to start it.

The kick has to land, so I'd say yes.

Made it from 1-60 solo as a rogue when red was low pop. I can say it was a very unpleasant experience though.
