Can't zone into lake of ill omen

Playing my lvl 3 iksar and when I try to zone into loio it tells me that i'm too low to go through inter planar portals. I've found a few threads on google with the same issue, but no solutions

If I recall correctly, the server was having a few trouble makers creating alts and making problems (not sure what kind of problems, this is just based on what I've read), so there has been a temporary ban placed on characters below level 5 leaving newbie zones...

I guess this might be what is stopping you?

That sounds like an odd way of solving that problem, but today I tried logging in and I get an unknown error and it won't let me join the server. I wonder if they're related.

I think that is a separate issue. I was also having that problem earlier today.
