So I want to get on Red

I made a character on Blue to start, and I like the way the game works; pretty easy to grasp, nice playerbase, seems legit.
The only MMO/PvP experience I've had is with WoW, and way way back with Runescape, and I feel like this is WAY different. There are recast times, strategies with items, things called Clickies— it sounds like fun, but am I jumping into something I shouldn't? I realize that there are players with far more experience and far deeper pockets, but is this something that a new player can get involved with and still have fun?

Roll a caster that doesn't require much gear. Druid or Wiz will serve you well in pvp + they have ports. Once you have farmed up enough cash you can use it to twink out melee classes if you so desire.

Make an enchanter, can out farm any class in game, super useful and viable in pvp and pve, and not too many of them on server so you can get raid loot, and can level solo or in group very quickly.

Also change name.

Just realize that If you are going to be playing on red there is a HUGE exp bonus in place when you group with other people.

1) roll an enchanter > shaman > necro > druid, these are the best solo classes w/o gear and you can use them to gear up a main
2) after you're rich, gear up your fave melee. everyone on this server has 180+ to every resist right now and in velious it'll be 255

I tried to make a thread asking this question, but it's not showing up for some reason, so I'll ask it in this thread.
I'm curious on why people say enchanters make the best "first class" on the server? I'm looking to join the Red server, and would like to make a caster, who is a good soloer. I'll be playing mostly in splurts on my own, so I'd like to be able to solo.
I was thinking Necro or Wizard. I'm just curious if there is something about enchanters I don't know about. I never considered them particularly good at soloing in early/mid levels.
