View Full Version : Looking for a Decent Spot to solo at 37+ (Necro)

I like killing specs but I can never find the camps empty. Same with HG's in Rathe Mountains. I looked through a bunch of levelling guides but I can't seem to find a decent xp grind camp that I can power through some levels.

Any suggestions for an Iksar Necro at lvl 37?

Fear kiting has basically been my method as of date with a few groups here and there. I would like to start dungeons I think so I can get better at playing my necro instead of the super easy fear kite method.

Thanks in advance!

That is a tough level range.

I'm unsure if you can do much in COM with charming at that level. Might be too low for that.

Might want to try out the entrance of Lower Guk. I think those entrance undead guards are like 30-40... Could be wrong, though. Again, charming.

If you still want to undead fear kite, there are undead in Trakanon's Teeth along the north wall. I think those are upper 30s. Might be a decent spot (never tried this myself).

Just some ideas to kick around.

Excellent, thanks Sesserdrix!

I've been using your necro guide religiously, it's helped a great deal. I will check out trakanon's teeth, should be interesting there :)

No but I did try that spec camp and didn't like it much. Specs are close together so it's an effort to split, but doable. And then you get the annoying skeletons and gargs on the island that attack you when you sit :)

I did 34-40ish on the tollbooth guards and dwarf brothers in WC. Once you split them, it's non-stop experience if you time it right.

When you are closer to 40 you should go to COM...spend 13 Level there going from stables / arena to moat with a group and when you are closer to 50 you can do moat solo and head than to 2. floor

lower guk near zone ins. But really - Kaesora - best zem in game for that level range. And you can fear kite in the long tunnels if thats your preference. And its dangerous. win win!

Whar about OT? Plenty of mobs there and lot of space to kite.

Specs in Oasis of Marr hardly EVER camped when I play in EST. No bother when sitting down and the 4 at the bottom are spaced apart far enough not to agro, if you do it right. Now the ones in the tower, that is a different story.

One time a Ranger with Harmony would be REALLY needed lol.

Started in Kaesora at 39 charm killing on the ramp down to the library and adding in the occasional library spawn. Very quick exp. Moved over to the mobs surrounding xalgoz(but not him) at 41 where I am currently.

This is an excellent idea, thank you. I will definately hit up Kaesora when i get to lvl 39!

Here's a pro tip regarding the Oasis spectres (and ONLY the Oasis spectres, as it does not work on the ones in OOT or Feerrott):

Use Cancel Magic to pull them. Even the ones in the tower that are tightly clustered. For whatever reason, when using Cancel Magic it will single-pull them always. No need to lull. Just click on their scythes that stick out from the top of the tower to select them and Cancel Magic. It's like... well... magic! :p

Again, this only works on the Oasis spectres, nowhere else. I have tried. Also don't forget that you can sell all of your Oasis spectre loot like gems and scythes at the gypsies just across the water (even as Iksar.) Enjoy your zero-effort spectre farming!

How did you get down by yourself? I tried it but there are see invis mobs and undead scattered through. Was thinking about doing a suicide run down and then hope FD goes off before I die :)

Yup. That is unlikely to ever change.

So library, you have 5 or so spiders to run by. I just invis'ed and if they were see invis, I would FD them just past the invisible wall. After that, there are 3-4 groups of all undead you can play with.

5 towers near xalgoz, would invis and run to the point where undead start, fd'ing spiders as necessary. Then IVU to get to the area with xalgoz.

Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated. Lvl 39, gonna try this out.

Nurga! By God, try this zone. I went from 37-44 here solo. You can single/double pull everything(screaming terror + FD = single pulls) There are long hallways you can fear kite down. There are no roaming mobs. It's always empty. Tons of goblins so the only downtime is your mana. Can move deeper for spiders which come solo/duo also. And even keeper for burnai guys. The only downside is the lack of itemization. Goblins drop gems and words with rare fine steel. Spiders drop words but the rest is junk.

Also get that big dungeon ZEM.

This zone has spoiled me by how easy it is.
