Yep, here goes one of those "Hardcore EQ player returning to Project 1999" posts. Well sort of. You see, I have a dream...

I long to see those glory days of raiding, guild politics, in-fighting, side-choosing, etc. However, I am not in a rush to get there nor am I interested in someone handing it to me on a platter. I want to enjoy the journey and I would like to make some new friends while I do.

I don't want to trivialize content due to twinking. I want to delve into lower dungeons like Black Burrow, Befallen, Kurn's Tower and Splitpaw. I want to level fishing and drinking and need to ride a boat because we are too low level not to do so.

I would really like to do this with a few consistent new friends along the way. Once we have proven ourself we will then step into the mire of social politics and make a name for ourselves with some of the big boys. Until then we will be the unsung heroes of Najena where we paid for our Enchanter's flowing black robe with our blood and still tell stories of it while we camp for the FBSS for our monk.

I play most nights from about 8pm-3am Eastern time and can play some during the weekends. We would roll an ideal group of 4-6 and begin our journey together.

If this sounds interesting drop a note here on this thread to bump it back up. If not, let it fall into obscurity and sink back to the depths of Kedge Keep where it belongs.

Oh yeah, and we are not making a guild!

I am part of a static that recently lost our 6th member and we are looking to find a 6th to join us. We are currently looking for someone to replace him with either a lvl appropriate char or rerolling the entire group. We meet 3 nights a week currently and may possibly fit into your criteria.

I will admit that we have already farmed some plat from our current group that has just hit the late 20's early thirties as well as some of the members have made duo's during off hours to farm for more plat. This would be the only issue I could forsee in outlooks of how to play.

We are going to be meeting this evening and if you find your self interested I could definitely get you on our TS server and speak with the group to see if our idea's align with yours.

I have a LFstatic thread going if you would like to read more about it: http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188405

This sounds great to me but I am a long way from 20. Right now my Bard is roughly level 5. I can play more than 3 nights a week so I can likely push to catch-up but it will still be a while.

The plat you farmed is fine by me. That is a big difference from having a level 50 group of characters that have all cascaded equipment down to level 1 alts.

If you want to PM me the TS info I will hop on with you.

Seems I can't make private messages yet on the forum. You can send me a tell in game to Pregor.

I think you'd find this stuff easier on blue than red.

wow last 2 replies totally missed this guys point. he wants to experience some classic hardcore gaming, not be spoon-fed the game on a silver platter. therefore he's already made the right choice by going with red and avoiding blue

I am definitely not afraid of red. In fact the edgy experience of rolling non-twink through the content with adversarial psychopaths is what led me here to begin with. :)
