Darkwind is a raiding guild with a long history. Originally founded in EverQuest 10 years ago, the guild has since existed in various games including Vanguard, Age of Conan, Warhammer, World of Warcraft and are now back to it's roots in EverQuest Classic on Project 1999.
Darkwind has always aimed for the top, and was for many years one of the top guilds worldwide in EverQuest.
Darkwind™ - EverQuest Classic, Project 1999 Chapter
Currently we have 3 official raid nights per week. However if we see a boss up, of our liking, we will call for a raid ASAP. The raid days are as follows:

How-To Darkwind?
In order to be able to become a full member of Darkwind™ you need to attend the raids. We do not require 100% attendance - but we definitely want to see you online, especially under your trial period - when you are supposed to show yourself from your best side. Mind you, you might be good at raiding, but if you're complete dick, you will most likely get a veto and get the boot. Check out our "Guild Rules" to see how we expect you to act In-game and on forums.
Ideally have a knowledge of raid encounters and a certain level of gear is required.
Current General Requirements:
** You have end-game raiding experience from either Everquest Live or other MMORPG. So we know you got experience in raiding.
** Respect the opinion of others.
** Have a positive attitude towards the new "old" encounters.
** Ability to listen and follow raid leader's instructions.
** Able to come to all raids on time.
** Thorough knowledge of your class.
Current Raider Requirements:
** Minimum level 46 for applicants wanting to apply for a raider spot.
Social Member Applications
We are also open for applicants wishing to be a social member of Darkwind™. However this does require a few things aswell:
Current Social Requirements:
** You must write an application, so we know who you are.
** You must have a sponsor within Darkwind™.
** You must be level 31+
** You need to either be an old Darkwind member, or a Real Life friend of a Darkwind Member.
** We encourage you to act in a mature and adult way, as your sponsor will take any heat you bring to the board.
** If you reach raid level, and wish to become a raider with raider's benefits, you have to go through a trial period. You need to reach and maintain 66% Raid Attendency (2 out of 3 weekly raids) over 3 weeks minimum.
And Then What?
If you can attend the raids, got the skills and know-how and an overall eager to prove yourself to Darkwind™, then be our guest and post an application!
Create a forum user with your In-game name. Example, if your ingame name is:
"Shadowboinker Fred McStabalot Apprentice Smoker of the Random Server"
Then your Forum Name would simply be Fred.
Make sure you check out which classes we're Recruiting (http://www.darkwind-gaming.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3140) and use the Appropriate Application Template (http://www.darkwind-gaming.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3139) to apply with.
A few notes to the written application. As mentioned earlier, Darkwind™ have existed for over a decade and have always been a proud community and when we recruit new individuals for our family, we take is serious.
So mark my words; A lazy written application with alot of "1337 T3xT $p34K 'n' k3wL l!ng0" makes me want to claw my eyes out with a rusty spoon, and will be auto declined
Tip of the Day: Please make sure to put some effort into your application, as
this WILL be our first glance at you as a future family member. It will be a factor
addressed in our final vote of you at the end of your trial period
After you submitted your application we will copy it to our internal forums for us to discuss. Be aware that this process can take up to 1 week +/- before you get the actual tag. So be patient. Rest asured that any spam tells to officers about your status will result in an Auto-decline.
After you made an Application:
Once we have recieved your Application we're going to open up a discussion about it in the Member's section of our forums. Your trial period will be 4 weeks, however officers can extend your period if they deem it fit. As mentioned, your trial period will be 4 weeks. After 3 weeks we will put up a vote in your thread, on the internal forums, for people to vote yes or no, based on previous experiences with you as a player. If you pass the vote at the end of your trial period, you will be upped to Full Member and be a full blown dingbat, like the rest of us.
However if you do not pass the vote, you will get a guildkick. You will be able to contact an officer in-game explaining the reasons for your denial.
On our internal forums, every Darkwind™ member can express their opinion, praise or flame you, depending on their past experiences with you. Running groups or the like with our members during that time is a huge plus, since they get the opportunity to get to know you and get an impression about your playstyle. Also this may improve your chance to get a sponsor for your Application.
We are somewhat strict on our applicants, as we appreciate a skilled and friendly player over a top geared one. So during your trial you will be restricted to a few "Applicant Rules":
- No loot. Only items that would otherwise rot, will be at your disposal. Loot order will be Full Members -> Alts -> Applicants -> Guests -> Mady. Tradeable items will go to the Guild Bank
- We would like to see 100% Raid Attendence during your trial period. but a minimum of 80% Raid Attendence over your trial period is required.
- Lastly, you will be expected to take abuse and to be mocked, without you crying like a baby.(!)
Applying to other guilds while you have an outstanding Application with Darkwind™ is strongly discouraged (read: Auto-decline). You should pick Darkwind™ for a reason, and not just because you want to be part of a (any) raiding guild.
