Can charmed animal pets equip gear like enchanter pets can?

Yes and no.

They should wear armor/jewelry.
They *generally* won't wield weapons. There are some rare animal cases that would wield weapons... But most of my memory of that is from PoP I think.

So I am a Halfling, and first thing is first... can hide replace goblin ring?

Next up... can someone explain a multiple mob rotation of exactly how to charm? I have tried it up to like 3 mobs but feel like im always either running out of mana, or having to just constantly root and heal myself etc.

I thank you all for help in my previous posts, but everyone keeps telling me that charming is the way to go, and I want to be a better druid and utilize my class to its fullest.

successful hide will break charm

Hide cannot replace the ring, but it's feasible to charm without the ring..

Always root the mob/s you aren't charming...that way you can manage your pet , the mob and any charm break

1. Charm a mob.
2. Aggro another mob and send in the pet, preferably the target and pet will have similar strengths (HP, attack power, etc.) so they will kill one another at a similar rate.
3. Keep the target mob rooted throughout the fight in case charm breaks. Sit well back to give yourself some room if it does.
3. When either the target or charmed pet (or both) are very low health, break charm with hide or by invising yourself (Goblin ring is best but can also cast invis). You can also dispel the charm from the pet.
4. Kill both mobs. This should be easy and not take much mana since they are both low health.

That is the basic theory for charm soloing. Since you're a druid, use efficient dots to finish off the mobs and sit to med as much as possible (and get clarity of course if you can).

I soloed on DE Ench from 16-50ish using Charm and Hide to break it (it's about 50/50 chance), so it can be done.

Goblin Ring is definitely helpful though.

Goblin ring is nice, but it's not a game breaker either. I did 50-60 charming (when Kunark released. Charm wasn't viable on this server in vanilla), and would simply use the cheap invis to animals.

But like it's been said before, the very basic idea is.

Find your pet and Snare it
Charm It
Find Mob, send pet on mob.
Root mob (if you are feeling saucy don't root.)
When both are around 15-20%, invis.
DoT/Nuke whatever you want both to death.
