For me it would be the shaman; seems like I can play solo or group and still have fun. Also I have gear options that add a lot of end game flavor.

If pvp teams or a progression server started I'd roll another rogue, a lot of fun :)

If not classic, Beastlord.
If it was limited to P99, Rogue.
I've got a completely naked rogue at 38 and no funds to start him up again. Thinking of making another one as a different race this time around. I love Rogues in most games, EverQuest is no exception.

Enchanter. Squishy but SO versatile and so many spells.

so hard to choose between enchanter and shaman for me.
The enchanter feels like you're playing the game with a game gene and using legal hacks that have spell effects. It makes the game very fun to be able to walk around and do whatever you want, so long as you dont agro something in the wrong order. If you do, the squishy thing makes me sad face.
The shaman, you cannot walk around without agroing things, however you do walk around like you own the place because you are so much stronger than the enchanter. You can take hits, you are a big ass confident race, you have sweet high ac/hp gear.. you just feel like a bad ass. I like that feeling.
But lull... god lull is so nice. To know at any point in the night you can camp whatever the hell you want in 20 mins of travel, is really nice. With the shaman you may get to seb, but then realize you have to clear your way to a camp and then just /log
But then again as the shaman, you hunt big game. Dragons in Vellious, Named giants, named giant turtles? Thats what shamans do, hunt big game. And that feels nice.
Its too god damned hard to pick between the two for me. So maybe Ill play a rogue or monk on red... crap, I cant even pick one there.

I love my Dwarf Rogue!
First choice Human Monk
Second choice(very difficult choice between the 2) Dwarf Rogue
Deciding between the two is like deciding if I want to keep my left or right hand...

Too hard for me to choose, but most likely a knight class or wizard. RP wise, they are the best. Game wise. . .yeah not as efficient, but fun.

I've always played rogues, but I'm a ranger at heart. Or a wood elf. Kinda the same thing.

Warrior. I love having oodles of hp and just yolo'ing through shit. I die frequently to the Freeport gate guards on my cleric because I forget she's squishy as all hell. :/

A true Grocer would have picked Bard. No other class can make bread in their pants. Serve with some tasty boot water for max pleasure.

LOL ^
I would have to go with Monk. The most solid, well-rounded melee class EQ has to offer. Top notch dps, tanking ability, pulling utility, get-out-of-jail-free card in Feign Death, and a self heal in Mend. Not to mention you serve a driver's seat role in group and raid content alike.

Druid, specifically Hoobit.
Tough to beat a shortie who can drop Lord of the Rings references (po-tae-toes), and items like the Wee Harvester and Small Scarab Helm just make them so damn unique and funny.
On Live I played a Bard and was insanely jealous of how Druids could just jump around to any part of the world instantly. I always hated being forced to ride boats when I was short on time, or be forced to beg a porter to get a ride to a far-off continent and/or evac out of a dungeon.
I swear I had so damn much trouble finding a port on Live. Wizard would never be my bag just due to all the downtime, so Druid it is. :)

Enchanter. No class has ever entertained me quite like my Enchanter. The grind to 60 wasn't even hard because I enjoyed it so much, and I didn't even AoE grind

Ranger, people feel sorry for you and give you random items that you can't use that you can sell for stuff that probably won't make you any better. Oh wait, I meant Troll Shaman.

Paladin. Hands down. I love tanking, and off tanking. One of my favorite periods in EQ was talking till a warrior showed up, then off tanking. If the warrior sucked, I would step up and tank instead of him.

Absolutely NO idea.
I'm having main character identity crisis as it is.
I definitely know I would play either: Warrior, Wizard, Necro, Enchanter, Ranger, Monk, Shadowknight, Shaman or Paladin... :)
