"Cannot find eqgame. Make sure you typed the file name correctly"

Hello all. I'm having issues with starting up Project 1999 for the first time.

I downloaded the game. Dameon Tools Lite. Installed the discs (into a different directory than C:). Extracted the files from v36. Deleted the ones it told me to....

But now when I go to hit "Launch Titanium" it tells me "cannot find eqgame. make sure you typed the name correctly and try again."

I'm using windows 8.1 if that helps. Thank you very much

so the target of your launch EQ shortcut should look something like this:

"C:\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme"

Can you verify that the eqgame.exe file is located in a valid location and your shortcut points to the correct location?

my target looks like: C:\EQemu\EverQuest.exe

I thought I was supposed to create a new directory in C: named EQemu? It's supposed to be in the Sony one?

This is fine, you just need to add the patchme

C:\EQemu\EverQuest.exe patchme

When you create a shortcut to it on your desktop, right click and pick run as admin.

Okay, so I got some help from Reddit's project 1999 sub. Someone told me to NOT use a file search on "Launch Titanium" and that I actually have to dig through the folder and find it.

This worked beautifully and now the game launches right up and takes me to the login screen that looks like Grimjaw's gif.

I just need to get to my office and dig my password/username info out of my desk. I stupidly left it there yesterday!

or go make another loginserver account - each eqemulator forum account lets you create 3 loginserver accounts (game accounts)

Heh, I should have thought of that!

Then again, didn't get it working until around 7:45AM this morning (as you can see the timestamp in my post). And had to get to the office by 9.

So fortunately, not too much time lost! Appreciate it Grimjaw and everyone else!

I'm having the same issue, not working out for me even those i change the file name, any suggestions?
