Bored in Qeynos Hills

Need some help in Qeynos hills. Trying to level up a Ranger. Level 3 and it's taking hours!

You NEED to get out of Qeynos pronto. There is like 3 people even play in that zone a week. Since the Fang Nerf even BB is crap. Re Roll in Gfay, or run to WK Wizzy Thingy and beg a Wizard for a port out of there lol. :p

It gives less xp than it was giving before.

Earlier on this server it was giving far too much xp. So much that people found it faster to fight green cons there to collect fangs to level than go fight mobs that give them xp.

There are tons of forum posts about it if you do a search.

Seems to me like it still gives very good xp, so if this is down from before, it was wacky. Having been working on a few characters in that area, I'm coming to appreciate it more. A trip to Freeport is likely called for just to sell valuables accumulated during leveling, but it's a fine area to work your way up in.

I used it on my 20 Wiz not that long ago and give IMO they give pretty good xp for the level range BB is..

It's still far faster to fight green cons and turn in the fangs than fight even cons.

its a perspective thing. The old timers think the current exp is crap and wont invest time into it because they know its far far less than it used to be.

the new folk dont know the difference and play the game as it is, without any feelings of being robbed.

You should head to EC tunnel for buffs to make things go smother. Chances are someone will give you a better weapon for free too.

Skin like Nature for extra hp/hp regen, regen/ds, sow, and shaman buffs (str/dex/talisman)

Makes all the difference in the world when you aren't twinked. I even get the buffs for twink chars too lol.

Can Dark Elves who worship solsek ro still do the fang quest?

I'm considering going that route for leveling regardless of the nerf if I can.

I would really doubt a Dark Elf can do the turn in part. It is inside of Keth, and even if you have inviz it will drop when you give it to the him. Zap, one dead Elf. :eek:

Dark elves can hide but not sneak, and even if you somehow managed to hide after opening a trade window with the quest NPC you'd be invis and the hand in won't work.

Well as a wiz of solsek ro, I was able to do it last night with no invis or anything.

Turned in about 20 so I doubt the faction gain alone from the few gnolls I killed made much a difference in my local reputation.

Theirs a roamer or two who conn'ed threatening to me, but other than that I was able to get to the wiz guild and turn in without any issue. You don't have to hail him to do the quest, so that might be the difference maker. I believe he was apprehensive towards me, but i'm not 100% sure on that.
