I think I'd prefer an ogre. Is the troll regen really worth it? Would I really regret not having that regen in the 30's or 40's and higher?

Not really worth it except if you're in the shit FD at 1% at high levels and wanting to regen some health to get up quicker.

Can always get a regen BP for that though ofc ;)

Solo I would go Troll. Groups I would go Ogre. :)

Both are great SKs. Personally, I think the SK class is the only one I would go with Troll on.

First character was a troll SK from classic to OoW and while my first and favorite- and I'm a huge troll fan

How about -neither-

SK is a gimped class and good for alts AT best. You will never be able to solo equal lvl content (post 20s) unless you are extremely over geared (200k, fungi even then nothing past classic zones) so the whole solo/group argument is not even valid. Go dark elf for looks, vision and no racial XP pen if your set on SK.

I really enjoyed playing an iskar SK, easy armor choices and I had fun working on the Lord of Pain Khurki and am looking forward to Greenscale armor

what did the OP opt for?

Mine is a dark elf, I don't regret it...but I do carry around stacks of peridots and ask the cleric to keep me symboled if possible to bridge that HP gap ;)

Still haven't chosen yet but I'm leaning toward ogre. Saving up for some gear before I make the character. If I go ogre would rallos zek be a good deity choice, maybe for the cultural armor later or is Innurok better?
