I will give the official list of best players on Red99 in order as a player who has played since the beginning and has the knowledge to answer this.

1) Lovely
2) Nizzar
3) Gongshow
4) Colgate
5) Tune (should be higher maybe)
6) Lite

This is rated based on overall impact on the server and how easily they accomplished it rather than skills or abilities.

When you become a pro like myself, everyone just looks the same and I can't really tell a difference between the top players just that they know how to play their respective classes.

Most skilled EverQuest player and most skilled Red99 player are different things in my opinion. Red99 is a game that is as much politics and mental game than strict EverQuest playing.

I think hands down it has to be Cwall for best Red99 player. He won ForumQuest for over a year while NOT playing, then attended a GM event on a level 1 and got an AoN. Then traded AoN for a 59th iksar monk with tstaff. Then was a thorn in the side of the empire for a year while winning the BoTB against the leader of the empire. Then took over and led the new empire as the best expansion of EverQuest is being released positioning himself to win the only expansion that ultimately matters.

HB gets honorable mention and need be considered as one of the better Red99 players. His career has had him in the middle of some, if not all, of the best drama and he has always been a member of the guild that winning the server at different times.

Lovely is hard to refute except destroying 2 backpacks of manastones is only slightly less impressive than if he'd RMT'd them on his stream instead.

If Red99 is the House of Cards of EverQuest. HB might be Frank Underwood. I think he might get my vote as runnerup to Cwall whose career is truly brilliant.

Skunky was super fun to play with too. Lewis had characters in each guild and might have actually had a personality disorder.

I will accept i was not the best Red99 player based simply upon the fact that my mental game was never that strong as i was easily provoked and trolled. however the accusation that i had characters in each guild is a bit rich. i have definitely tested the waters in many factions and left each as i thought none of them interesting enough to stick around in.

The truth is the format of our original Holocaust is the only format of EverQuest i ever had interest in. The Dream Team on VZ/TZ is what i always hoped for. Any time my 'pals' showed up be it Holocaust, Heresy, Dentists, Red Dawn, Holocaust2.0 i showed up to be a member of their ranks hoping we would form a guild that fit my preference. I never stuck around because on Red99 the guild i want cannot survive. Ironically the closest to what i'd love to be a part of was Sharknado and i wasn't a member.

I'm not a turncoat, i never pretended multiple personalities, i just didn't have the fortitude or the patience to deal with the large levels of drug addiction, incompetence and drama that is the natural state of Red99.

Some folks have done some serious work on this server though and they should be best acknowledged here. Red99 is 50% forumquest/propaganda, 30% effort/sickness and 20% skill. Pras R99.

Letsjoe is BY FAR hands down the best PvE chanter if not top PVE player on box. I say that and not argue about PvP because yea early holo when Letsjoe was like only chanter and first target in every pvp fight. Yea he ate a lot of deaths. But he is still the best PvP chanter I have played with and played with most all of them. And anyone that has PvPd with him will without a doubt agree he is one of the best to play with. lez b real, EQ doesn't have a very high skill cap..most of the names mentioned in this thread all pretty equally skilled, the only variable is how many classes they play well.

I might've skipped a few pages, but I dont see the name Tarwine mentioned anywhere. He, from my point of view was pretty bad ass paladin. Saw him in some solo+ fights multiple times way back when I was coming up and he was fighting nihi in freeport and shit. At one point he was beating I think it was Xico and a druid both geared out with epics and he had like mithril or something with a sword/shield and just kept bashing them making them half to zone to heal. I have seen some old classic screenshots where he was around, but I didn't play then.

How do you think all the people that he let down felt when he couldn't quit scumming it. People with 90% life time RA on a server that at the time had a massive hitbox, jacked up resists and infinite range aoe. That's a lot of suffering to go through to see your Velium dreams go down the tubes.

The person that has had the largest impact on the server overall is Haynar for making this something that actually feels like real classic eq PvP. He's a couple of tough issues being resolved away from godliness. This server was a mess before his work.

Not requiring other classes buffs to engage in PvP.

And having no limits to where he'll go to find PvP.

While it would be impossible to adequately gauge who is the BEST at pvp, I can realistically say he is the epitome of what a PvPer represents. And you would be hard pressed to find another player who courageously seeks pvp as avidly as he does.
