The time is nigh. From this point forward the server shall declare war against guilds so large that they find themselves feeling beyond reproach. For too long this server has been bullied by a small group of people who are only concerned with themselves. It is time to put a stop to this.

I am calling on the players of this community to do what is right! We need to be the people that stop this. It has to be done with sheer force of will. We need to be dedicated and united.


This week will be the one that we all remember. This will be when the tide turned. This will be when the community took the server back and did things in the best interest of the community, instead of just ourselves. This is your opportunity to be part of something greater!


We can no longer allow people to be bullied over the internet by a small group of people just because they have a perception of being in control of raid loot. We need to stand up not only for ourselves but for the everquest that we all love.

If we continue to allow a small group of people to tarnish the reputation of the project then we all lose. We lose the potential to have a red server that laughs about the low population of the blue server, we lose out on the chance to see 100 noobs fighting over greater faydark, we abandon all hope of having a more dynamic atmosphere.


Olive branches will be extended in very surprising directions this week. It is time for all of us, leaders, bottom feeders, coat riders, casuals, lone wolves, griefers, and care bears to unite under one banner. That banner is not a guild tag but an ideal. It is time to work for a better tomorrow for Red99.

This is OUR opportunity to do something incredible. This is not Mad Max's or any other one specific persons opportunity. This is the servers opportunity to grow and advertise. To show the world that it is worth investing time and interest here.


Will you be able to say that you participated? I would advise you to consider the future when thinking about the answer to that question. This is our chance to do something extraordinary, you will not be happy to have missed it.

Simply put, the pixels are flowing from Empire. Just as they did from nihilum, They have some of the same players/leaders with a infusion of former top 'resistance' players. As long as pixels flow, people will inevitably end up there. People come to this server for all different types of reasons, PVP has taken a back seat on the server for a VERY long time since Nihilum had control of the server.

It is true that if a new guild, or existing one that isn't empire downed a few bosses/dragons. The loot WOULD literally split the guild apart or at the very least cost said guild a few members. The difference is, in Empire you simply put in work, and eventually you gradually obtain loot without having to fight tooth and nail. In guilds that MIGHT be able to snag fay, or tal, or naggy vox, ragefire, whatever even PD. You will see oldschool members clashing with newer members ~4-9 months recent. With OG members thinking they deserve loot more, because a year ago they went all out but have only logged in for 5 mins a day for the last month until loot drops.

I am sure Empire has the same issues Nihilum did, with a ever-rotating list of recruits. People who came to red to play and have fun see content, got burned out. or sold off and went back to blue because they couldn't handle it etc. Many different reasons. They might be a 'zerg' but I am willing to bet at its core that they are only ~30 strong holding it together.

You essentially have to completely remove a large majority of the current leadership in every guild then find a relative unknown or at least well respected and intelligent person to make the 'calls' - just based on forum posts I doubt there's more than a few among the entire server, and they are probably all already in <Empire> the trademark of a great guild is to recruit officers and leaders from any possible competition. I guess to clarify what I mean is recruit the best PEOPLE that could make things like that possible, leaving only afterthoughts to lead the shadows and dust into oblivion.

The reason you need to remove these people is when small factions fight (like tribes) you end up with blood fued type crap, humans are petty. They will hold grudges, you remove all the known names...crown a person's who won't quit and is intelligent, merge every guild...and go have a hell of a fucking great time fighting. I think people are using the term to refer to people acting on a specific level of competence and mien, or attitude. You could say some GM's act like a professional, which is a way to give praise to someone not a pro who acts like one. One could also say someone is unprofessional, even if they aren't being paid, which is another way to say their performance is not on par with someone who does get paid for the same tasks. I suppose it's that tendency for some regions to call all soft-drinks coke IE.."Hey, let's go to U-totem and get a couple of cokes" Even though your homie wants grape soda, it's still referred to as "coke".
