Im not looking to "take down" the empire. I, and I would think everyone else who plays outside of the empire, just want to have fun playing the game again. Mass pvp, find groups, take down a few mobs a week rather than having 2 much pride to unite and sit in said zone for months with the 10-12 people you have until you get pushed out by empire. Between the guilds we would have a solid 50 players. Why not give it a go?

k/d is a meaningless stat in EverQuest. you play a wizard and snipe newb players from locations they can't fight u back from and boast pvp prowess yet u cant contest any mobs and wont kill any dragons in velious. i could make a guild of wizards and sks only tomorrow and boast a 10.0 kdr by preying on newb players in situations that pose 0 risk to myself. i would also get 0 dragons.

I think nilly most of the time had twice our numbers in pvp skirmishes most of the time, holo at times has 3 times our numbers, using 1 example of 29 members doing trak because its being uncontested and players are waiting for velious is funny.

I'm not upset at all, I look forward to the challenge. When we destroyed Nihilium in VP (out numbered badly) and Azrael won a crown of rile on Novus/Jibeknn there was no better feeling knowing that we took it to the zerg and we got rewarded for it as a guild.

1.)There's 3 guilds raiding. Fresh Azrael and Holocaust.

2.)Holocaust is the zerg, there's no PVP only guilds, Azrael does both PVE and PVP.

3.)Holocaust is currently the only guild that really manages to get big targets, and this is due to their overwhelming numbers. (raiding with 80 players). Why did Holocaust manage to get that big? Because the staff failed miserably at emulating weekly patch day respawns. Because of this all of the content spawns at the same time for months on end, and zerg type guilds can present themselves with an overwhelming force and cancel PVP opportunities. (Simulated respawns were implemented in an effort to emulate this feature, but most of the times months pass by without triggering and guilds have no opportunity to generate meaningful momentum because of it). In addition to that, Kunark has very few bosses and zones worth Raiding, making it additionally easy to monopolize the content through zerg methods.

Holocaust is not unique in the zerg business, the guild Nihilum before them was similar. Except they had some level of standards, so their size wasn't as insane and occasional PVP occured with them.

4.) Some members of friends enjoy participating in lower level PVP, since the higher end PVP is pretty dry(refer to answer #3) . Some categorize this as griefing.

5.) Many guilds like Fresh have come about in the past, with the intention of being different. However, once more refer to answer #3. These guilds never have much of an opportunity to generate momentum past your planar trash clear. Most of the times guilds like this one get absorbed, or are bullied into an alliance that ends up making them weaker in the end, or ceases their existence.

Actually, we may soon be the most successful guild on Red99. Remember, <Fresh> is a leveling guild as well as a raid/PvP guild. We don't have a level requirement. "Well maybe you should!" No - our willingness to accept new players is why we have grown far faster than any other guild on Red. And look at us now - we've got tons of active members, we've brought many new players to the server, we have a growing group of raiding members, and we are already successfully contesting Holocaust/<Empire> and <Azrael> for loot. Secondly, you make it seem like we've gotten one mob a month; in fact, our rate of major loot mobs is increasing. How about yours?

K/D ratio is cool and a mark of individual excellence within a guild, but for a leveling guild all it means is we're gaining experience. <Fresh> is going through a crucible of PvP and attempts to taunt us and make us feel ashamed of our mission and our progress.

Firstly, that certain people just may not work well together, and may have already built bad relationships with one another, and would only be torturing themselves by trying to be on a team together. Secondly, that by making an agreement to hinder <Empire> and not each other, the other guilds could accomplish much more.

We don't have to raid together or award loot to each other - we just have to agree not to hinder each others' raids while hassling <Empire>. This could be done in many different ways.

Please understand that Valentin - which was Tuna/Max - will be protective of his guild, and he won't soon forgive the grief <Friends> have wreaked on <Fresh> exp groups, or that one time in TD with the dragon and the Iksar.
