Server Wide OOC

Hey guys, I am not sure if anyone else agrees with me here, but the serverwide /ooc is being abused beyond words for nothing but trolling and arguments. Is it me or does it seem like it should be removed or everyone should be limited to 1 /ooc per minute? At this point it seems to be insanely out of control.

If it ever gets too "intense" I'd say minimize the window until you need to use it (to ask for a port etc).

I'm not a huge fan of the OOC either but I have to agree with the rest. With the low population it is better to have it this way and just minimize it when you don't need it. I throw it in with my combat log cause it means that little to me until I need a port or something.

There is an easy fix if you don't like global ooc so use it instead if asking the gms to fix your issues. I bet you voted for Obama too.

Allow me to clarify:
There is an easy fix if you don't like global ooc: make a new chat window, put OOC in it, and minimize that window. I recommend that method.

Also, P99 devs have mentioned they are considering implementing a "city-wide" OOC, which I would call a "cities-only" OOC, which would connect all city zones into one OOC; whereas non-city zones would have the classic zone-wide OOC. If they're going to do it, it'll probably be after Velious.

All the GM's need to do is randomly login to red and suspend people who are abusing it. During peak hours you can tell who is abusing it within a few minutes. Once they start randomly doing that on a consistent basis, the amount of worthless spam/trolling will go down immensely.

Devs are working furiously trying to fix the bugs with the city wide ooc system that allows global ooc between cities and legit everquest ooc throughout the zone you are in otherwise.

So it's like you need to swing by a city to find out what its going on with the world because their curious run messengers our something.

makes sense to me. I'm not a fan of non classic ooc Griefing. Tells are way more personal and emotionally charged.
