Greetings!

In Game name: MycahDavith
Class: Warrior
Level: 53
Race: Half Elf
Deity: Karana
(Hardmode - I love frontal stun and lack of racial - FML! And it's currently my only character, no alts, no way to twink out or buy gear for this toon.)

I had originally played on Povar from 1999-2003. When I found out about P99 and that the dev team was working on releasing Velious, I convinced an old friend, MagnateAZ, to come back to the greatest game ever made.
I've done the grind in the past, and wanted to come back to this game with a different mindset. So we installed on Feb 13th, 2015, and started grinding it out.
Met several friends, had a great time grouping and grinding up thru the lower and mid levels. Some friends moved on, some rage quit? Some seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet.

I also stream pretty much full time when I am on. I've met so many great, helpful, and generous people. I got some helpful beginning gear and handouts to start out.
As time has gone by, it became more and more apparent that as a Hardmode-Warrior, I needed to start getting more and more help, and to help myself by moving to that next level. Guilds.

And so I have begun talking to several of the friends, and veterans I have met. Seeking advice and considering what my goals are, and what I want to achieve.

Goals:
- Streaming live, when I'm online, I'm usually streaming this epic journey I have undertaken. Some of you may know me from Twitch.tv (nuff about that - diff topic**)

- Becoming a utility tank for casual grouping/raiding. I want to be that guy, who people look to, knowing that a tank is around and avail/on call. A mercenary if you will.

- Re-experiencing the content. Velious specifically, but from a different class perspective. I had played a Cleric and Monk to epic on Povar.

- Getting this toons Epic, in epic fashion, in my situation.

- And finally, building friendships during the adventure.

Being a father of two active young boys, married to a very tolerant wife, and working full time, my playtimes can be limited.
8/9pm - 1am CST M-F
Weekends are chaotic to say the least. But I try to get in as many hours as possible.

(**I understand that the Twitch.tv live streaming may be a hindrance or omit me from consideration entirely. I know that "stream-sniping" from a raiding standpoint may scare some guilds away.
I hope that viewpoint changes, as I see Twitch.tv as a great utility for many reasons, and as a way for exposure not only for me, but for a guild and the game in general.)

If you have taken the time to read this, thank you!!!
If there are any casual raiding guilds looking for a Tank, in my current situation, please contact me, let's discuss.

( I hope this is the right thread to post this on )

As I recently wrote in this thread (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1856695) (about how "recruit me" threads aren't very effective):

I don't think those threads get much, if any, response. As I've advised people in several of those threads, your best bet is to:

visit the guilds wiki page (http://wiki.project1999.com/Guilds:Guild_List)
compare the guilds listed there (I've crammed as much information as possible in to a single table)
once you've identified 2-3 that sound appropriate to you, learn more by visiting their guild forum thread and/or webpage (both of which are linked on the wiki)
once you've settled on a guild find their list of recruiters (on the wiki page or the guild's thread) and contact one of them, either here via PM or in-game via /tell
the recruiter will have the latest info on what classes/levels the guild needs, and what their application process is
apply! if you are rejected go back to step #1 and repeat (though that should be rare, especially if you do all the research I mentioned first)

Hope that helps.

No serious raid guild is going to want you broadcasting their raid calls. If you want your epic, you will need to join a serious raid guild or do some serious plat farming. Just saying.

In response to above posts...

PM's and support have already been received.

The reply with advice was heeded, and I had already begun researching guilds via the thread posted. I've spent some time in PUG and talking with a few people. I decided to make a formal post today as a way to get extra feedback.

Any decent streamer should be able to control what is and isn't broadcast thru the stream, and what /gchat or /tells are visable. And as I mentioned, I understand that Live streaming may be a limiting factor to some.

Thanks for the input and responses!
