I know like, jack shit about Velious. Was still a kid who just wanted to explore all the zones in norrath when this shit was out.

Question- What kind of shit should a guy be doing to prepare for winter? Do any factions transfer that are very useful? Trade-Skills? Etc?

IIRC, velious has its own faction. they are indifferent to everyone across the board.

At minimum, get your pottery up to 122 for Vial of Velium Vapors (http://wiki.project1999.com/Vial_of_Velium_Vapors). That's a Coldain quest, so if they don't fix sneak dialogue questing you might need to be pals w/ dwarves.

Required trade skills for the "epic" Velious quests are on these pages. The brewing part for ring can be done by someone else. The shawl combines have to be done by yourself.

first ring quest is making a blanket for a dwarf, do that quest twice so you have a nice blanket.

Just yesterday I made it into TD carried on a raft consisting only of zerglings holding hands. I cried a little.

People still salty I wanted to join a guild that has a chance for raid content in Velious I never got to experience.

Man, I just went to wiki to look at some Velious stuff, dragons, drops etc. Gd Velious will change everything, The wait was worth it! I remember when Velious dropped on live back in the day. Everyone rushing to the boats, The dragon bridge, ring quest, slippery ice zone loaded with spiders and Tov/sleepers... Good times. Should be twice as fun on a pvp server ;)
