Right now Klandicar is respawning way too fast. I havn't been able to get an exact time but it is currently respawning in less than 17 hours after every kill. I'd have to do some digging but its supposed to be a 3 day spawn iirc?

[Thu Apr 02 22:20:09 2015] Klandicar has been slain by Argh!
[Fri Apr 03 15:19:10 2015] You say, 'Hail, Klandicar'

I noticed the same thing on Tuesday. We killed him on Monday evening and he was back up on Tuesday afternoon.

I think it should be 7 days?

More input please.

The way i remember it working and the way it was working on Al'Kabor straight from Torven's EQmac logs before the server shut down.

respawn time, zone <br><br>Spawn time is how long after the server resets before the mob spawns. <br>Respawn time is how long after death before the mob respawns

>Klandicar, level 70, 1-3 day spawn, 3-6 day respawn

>Zlandicar, level 65, 1-3 day spawn, 3-6 day respawn

>Dain Frostreaver IV, level 70, 1-3 day spawn, 7 day respawn

>Sontalak, level 70, 1-3 day spawn, 2 day respawn

>Wuoshi, level 64, 1-3 day spawn, 7 day respawn

>Dracoliche, level 58, instant, 7 day respawn <~

It seem's that a good amount of raid mobs shouldn't necessarily be spawning right away after a server reset according to eqmac spawn logs. Will post more timers if the information is still needed.

The timer appears to change partway through velious. I have sources and such, but am on the road. Will look for them in a bit.

The early Velious guilds not only faced easier key mobs, but they were up a hell of a lot more. Our version of Klandicar has an AE that the original did not for quite awhile. Our dragon fear's work differently than the ones on live, etc.

The few exceptions this week were killing Sontalak and Klandicar. Funny enough, killing Klandicar was a server first for Luclin, well since he got upgraded with Lendiniara AE that is. We've been farming Broods for a hella long time and ol Kland and Sont just aren't worth the time and effort with their crap drops (thx spells). Grats Waladen and Dethiel on Sleeper Keys though!

Early March 2000, bumped from 3 day to 7 day

Before this last patch, they were both on about 3 days, or 72 hours, which coincides with Ragefire's random spawn timer, 0-72 hours after Nag dies. We assumed that at least, hard to tell when they reset the server weekly, as you only get one, maybe 2 spawns in that time.

Note - Elethia's quote is discussing BOTH Klandicar and Zlandicar!

I'm going to include a bit more than Klandicar since there are 3 ST key dragons who have timers that were adjusted or may not be classic on Beta, and there's 1 more mob who had his timer adjusted (Tormax looks like it went from 3-4 days to 7days) -

They should both (Kland/Zland) be around 3 days for ~3 months or so (based on Elethia's quote, the 3/6/01 patch is the likely culprit). Sontalak's was always friggin fast. Note that some of these guys (ie the dragons) appeared to have variances, which is why you'd sometimes see Sontalak up in like ~20hrs.

It's worth highlighting some of the other mobs too -

Tormax getting adjusted, likely from 3d to 7d -

Sontalak 2 day spawn time (also mentions being erratic, 24-96hrs) -

ST Warders - 6 day spawns (since aug 01) - Post # 53 - http://forums.hossguild.org/showthread.php?1628-Rotation-Schedule/page3

Sontalak - kills 2 and 3 days apart - Post #101 - http://forums.hossguild.org/showthread.php?1628-Rotation-Schedule/page6

Dain - some discussion of his spawn oddness - http://forums.hossguild.org/archive/index.php/t-1324.html

ST Warders - more on 6 day spawn - http://forums.hossguild.org/archive/index.php/t-1011.html - Note 9-21 post, discusses spawning tomorrow due to patch (the 22nd) - google shows thats a sat, repop discussed being Friday - ie 6 days, doesn't sound like any variance

Tormax - more proof of faster spawn - LoS kills on 4/10 and 4/14, no patch in between -

Zlandicar - more proof of 3 day spawn - LoS kills on 2/5, 2/8, 2/12, 2/15 and 2/19, no patch in between -

Conclusion -

Tormax 3 days (4 at the most) until May 30, 2001, then 7 days
Klandicar 3 days until March 6, 2001, then 7 days
Zlandicar 3 days until March 6, 2001, then 7 days
Sontalak 20/24hrs-48hrs-72hrs-96hrs? - I'd bet it was more like 2days+/-24hrs - regardless, super fast
ST Warders 6 days as of August 2001, not sure prior (this may have been when they tweaked their capabilities as well)

So the timer on ST mobs has been bugging me, here is the research -

LoS-

Motg 3 day timer -
4/22 - Motg kill - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-04-22
4/25 - Motg kill (update is talking about prior day) - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-04-26

Bonus -

Doz 3 day timer -
5/8 - Doz kill (patch day i think) - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-05-08
5/11 - Doz kill - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-05-11

Appears to go to 7 day (and get variable tears on loot - note they later complain big-time about losing old Doz, which is actually a middle Doz loot table from appearance 3day doz with like 1-3? tears -> middle 7 day doz with like 7-8 tears -> new model 7day doz with variable 2->X tears?) on what *must* be the 5/30 patch (yes that's the king tormax patch)! - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-06-04

For posterity -

Aug 3rd Rant w/DOz comments - http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-08-03

Conclusion -
- Doz may be 3 days until 5/30 patch, then 7 days (sounds like they also changed drakes)
- ST (Golems at least) may be 3 days for a time - course, they also don't drop guaranteed primal if you read the updates

MoTG, Prog, and Final Arbiter were always 3 days I think.

They would drop two items? + spells, primal and priceless was pulled from the same loot table so yes you could end up with no primal.

There's some videos and quotes of news updates out there that show that the golems can just drop spells - 2 spells specifically. I don't recall any reading about them dropping priceless.

There's also SS of loot from the warders where they have like 4 staffs on Tuk (not the primal kind).

It's possible thats from earlier versions and this sort of loot got firmed up later. Was interesting looking through the old ss.

I remember this as well, variance being added to many named not long after Velious launch.:D Also am not able to research at this time but will try to find something.
