Hello I am starting a Half Elf bard and I have no idea how to allocate my starting points.

I read somewhere putting 5 into dex, 5 into stamina, and 15 into charisma was a good balance.

Can anyone help me? I am not sure what to do.

Debatable.

If you're twinking, most bard gear gives Dex/Cha bonuses so I've never found that I've been hindered by not focusing on either off the bat. I dump into sta normally since it's the one stat that's going to be hard to max, even if we don't get the same HP bonus from it as a pure melee.

If you're not twinking, Dex not a bad idea if you're solo-kiting your way up, Cha not a bad idea if you're grouping / playing with friends for the most part.

You can't really go wrong between dex/sta/str/cha... I went dex/cha with end game lull pulls and epic procs in my head. I Dont.put much stock into missed notes. Can be really random & u just press the button again.... Lack of str was prolly most annoying trying to carry stuff around. If this is ur first char id go 5-10 str for tje sake of selling fine steel weps! Sta for more HP always good. I'd split str/sta/dex if I did it again

Personally as a half elf I'd do everything into stam and then the remainder in strength.

You may want to consider 15sta, 5str, 5cha, if you're not going to be twinking at all.

Again, debatable but that's what I'd do.

yea I wont be twinking..
I just dont want to screw up my character

what if i did 5 dex, 5 char, 5 str, 10 stam? think that would be balanced?

Half elf already rolling in dex as is. Honestly don't think it'd be worth bumping it. If the extra 5 isn't going in sta, it should be reinforcing Str and Cha since those are naturally a bit weaker.

All into stamina. If any left over 5 into charisma.
