Hello everyone,
So Im trying to DL everything. I install EQ Plat, but I get to STEP 2 where it reads:
Once you have completed installation you will need to extract the Project 1999 required game file changes. The current distribution is Project 1999 Files (V36).
These files must overwrite any existing files encountered during extraction into your Titanium directory.
When I try to extract Project 1999 Files (V36). I get an error message. I included a few Screens but they look unreadable. the message says:
Windows cannot open folder
The compressed (zipped) Folder
'C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\FQHQT3U8\P99Files36.zip' is invalid
Not knowing what to do, I just continued, and deleted the files it said delete. At this point. I can not continue/ Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been wanted to play this game forever! Help me out guys.

FIXED. I just had to mess with it for a few hours.
Now, just having problems at the log in screen with it saying: DB error invalid password
><
do you have any virus protection software running? Check to see if that is blocking the decompression. also, don't use the built-in image uploader or you will get tiny screens like that. you can upload them to imgur or photo bucket and tag them for full sized pics

I actually fixed it. But now Im having problems with the login screen. Its saying DB error password invalid.
Ive set up accounts on both the p99 page, and the emu page. And neither PW is working

For some reason its not showing the replies, so I hope IM not spamming. I said that I got it to work. But right now, Im stuck at the log in screen. Says DB error PW invalid. Ive put in both users / pw from both p99 and Emu and neither works.

Jason,
What you want to do is copy that file (.zip) out of your temporary folder in your profile and place it on your desktop. Try to extract it from there. Sometimes the OS locks up temp files in that folder.
Also, I hope the file you downloaded completed or it could be corrupted.

On another note, you shouldn't use IE, it's evil! ;)
Oh and Google Crome monitors your every move on the internet. :) Google, they love to know EVERYTHING YOU DO!

I install EQ Plat
I realize this aint part of your issue, but just to confirm - you require EverQuest Titanium Edition. Not "EQ Plat".
also I suggest downloading and using 7-zip instead of WinZip

7-Zip is nice and I concur. WinZip can, sometimes, not open 7zip files.
And, good catch on the EQ Platinum!

I would also say, in this vein, that winrar is a good zip program as well and I would say you can use that as well.

Funny you say that. I personally use WinRAR, only. There was only one jackass I knew who used 7Zip to pack a file, and the encryption he used (not the default) would not allow WinRAR to unpack it.
I had to use 7Zip.

i use 7-zip as a program to handle all my archival needs. when creating archives i use it to create .zip files not .7z or .rar files
lightweight, intuitive options in the windows context menu, handles pretty much any format iv encountered, etc...
