View Full Version : Pulling in Charsis as an Enchanter

I took quite the break, stopped playing around Fall time, and came back recently. Just wondering what other enchanters are doing for pulling rooms in HS, like South wing I was getting crit resists on Pacify like i would like to say 1/10 1/15 times, and instantly dying to 5 DT's and the first round of attacks before I could land my stun. Where before I had no issues at all pulling singles from rooms with 6/7/8 mobs in them.

i think your break is playing games with your memory, its always been a dice roll.

very possible - i just never remember having issues and dying repeatedly haha. Maybe I was lucky back then.

Best pet equip set up? Now that you get the items back what should I pick up?
X2 adaman rings, rusty spiked shoulders and w/e weps you like. Ykesha clubs are nice and cheap, deadwood staves are decent, a conflag dagger and a snare whip if you don't want to go cheap.

Hrm.
Does anyone know if warrior NPC's get the MR bonus PC warriors get?
The int caster mobs definitely cast Arch Shielding/Shield of the Magi on themselves (good for like 20-22MR).
This means they'll have a bit higher resist rate than other npcs.
Additionally, level plays a part - so look to lull lower level mobs 1st.
Even then you'll still get resists. HS is a bit unforgiving due to the harm touches...but there are a few options to mitigate this. Here are a couple - have a pet eat the HT's. You could send the pet in to eat them all, or possibly just lull a couple of mobs then yank them with the pet. Also, HT requires LoS, it's possible you could lull from around an object to delay the HT's and possibly give you enough time to engage with the pet to prevent some melee or any further HT's - or to start casting a stun/mezz/whatever.
Lastly, you could always go for an emergency heal setup to help out - reapers, soulfires, wort pots.
Never played enc, so just some thoughts.

Wont proc on you ever I believe even a necro in lich form wont take the proc. That and the minus MR items as said above. That stick is SICK.

I'd say pet pull the room and root like necros do, but this depends on your mana pool and is especially risky after this last charm ninja nerf. Charm breaks are far more frequent after this last pstch, and more than once I've had charm break mid pull. I don't have to tell u that a pet and a full room coming at you is bad news.
Since charm is more unreliable than ever I tend to stick to pathers/single or double statics, or lull in a ln area like north where I get infrequent resists. For me at 55 anyway, I won't even try to lull in south considering I can only land mezzes about 66% of the time depending on the mob.
Before people tell me to get more cha, I have 245 cha and always had high charisma all the way up so I have a solid sense of the hit that charm took. Also ask any necro who solos and they will tell you the same thing.

We tend to lazy pull South, trying to only pull the PHs for the nameds, so just that way to do South might be out of the question now for Chanters, but now Monks got nerfed with the projectile patch. So I'll have to ask around on the best way/most efficient way for South.

Grab a pet and send it into the room, letting it eat all of the initial HTs and mezzing the mobs while they are finishing it off. Trying to just lull a room in south and then pull is a good way to end up dead. And pretty much always has been unless the RNG is treating you well
