Surely this has to be a bug. I made up my first character a half elf druid. It started me in Qeynos, ( I remember starting in Surefall in the old days but anyway) The moment I came into the world I was attacked by a guard and killed. When I went back to get my corpse I was attacked by another guard and killed. This cant be right. How could anyone function if the guards kill you in your own city..... this is a bug right?

I don't remember any druids starting in Qeynos as an option.

Humans : Surefall
Wood Elves and Half Elves: Kelethin
Halflings: Rivervale

Human druids started in Surefall glade, Half elf druids started in Qeynos. And yes, Corrupt qeynos guard faction is too harsh here. They started dubious to me on live and KOS to my druid here. My first character ever was a Half elf druid so I spent alot of time tooling around Qeynos. I think we were probably supposed to start in surefall glade but for whatever reason never did and never got called on it because who would ever roll a half elf druid?

the kos guard is probably the one that roam between the dock and the bank area. can't remember his name (might start with q?).

it's probably the bloodsabres faction that's kos

Human rangers Start in Qeynos, shouldn't they be in either Freeport or surefall?

Half-elf druids and rangers started in Surefall. Not in Qeynos.

Yeah, that was the same guard that perma-ganked my baby paladin when i made him up. His faction is off by some bit, he should be set to corrupt not bloodsabers or else made to not attack people -- since he perma-kills anyone with fresh toons and the 'wrong religion'.

It's like putting the Rodcet Nife fish in the water you jump over in Grobb.

Its true I just tested it, all races of druids and ranger starting in western Antonica are appearing in Qeynos instead of Surefall. The guards that keep attacking both classes and any diety on sight are corrupt. I started EQ in Surefall back in 1999. I am really sure that this wasnt a problem originally. Sure the corrupt guards didnt like me but they never attacked me on sight. Hopefully this issue will be looked into. Qeynos is at this point a un-manageable starting location for rangers and druids. It is impossible to get to the bank or use the boat with these guys roaming around.

I've only ever played a Half Elf Druid and know the Qeynos area like the back of my hand. I started in early Kunark, and I never had any issues with guards in Qeynos.

Same thing happened to a ranger I rolled. I went in to bank, got killed on the way. My first ever character during live on launch day was a Paladin in Qeynos, the corrupt guards did not attack on sight. I could wander the city without fear of death.

Exactly, and you'd think a Paladin would be most in danger.

Does anyone know if these guys are killing everyone at this point or just rangers, druids, and pallys? I really hope this gets looked into soon. Qeynos is my favorite starting area, and I basically cant play there as things are. I cant use the bank or access many of the shops in Qeynos without getting instantly killed. It would'nt take much more then a quick faction change of the corupt guards. From what I have seen so far the devs here are a great group of people who really care about the server. I honestly love it here. I just hope this issue doesnt get accidently overlooked.
