Hi All,

I am new to how the dev's push out the progression on this server. Obviously it isn't identical to the timeline of live, but when Velious gets released will it only be released as of the state of the game on release day from Live? Or do they try to get as many bug/fixes/changes that Live did from release to a certain point out.

Such as... will HTs in Velious be 25% stronger with unholy aura as velious launched with, or 50% stronger as they were a month later from a patch note? And if it will start as 25% instead of 50%, will we expect it to upgrade to 50% within a months time similar to live? Something like this sounds like it would be easier for them to just implement the 50% off the bat instead of trying to stick to the specifics.

*Patch Day*

- The Shadow Knight's "Unholy Aura" discipline has received an
enhancement. When in use, harmtouch resistances will be checked versus
disease instead of magic. In addition, harmtouch will resist in the
same fashion as lifetap spells, meaning that unless the creature is
immune to disease, you should get full damage most of the time.

- The "Unholy Aura" Discipline now gives a 50% bonus to Harmtouch
(compared with the previous 25%) and causes it to save versus disease,
which should result in even fewer resists in most high-level
encounters.

*Spells*

- "Harmtouch" is now resisted as if it were a "Lifetap" spell, meaning
that it is all-or-nothing, and nearly unresistable with exception to
encounters that are immune to magic or out of the acceptable level
range. In addition, maximum damage for Harmtouch has been increased
starting at 40th level.

My sig has a Timeline (wiki.project1999.com/Players:EQLive_Timeline). My guess is that progression stops the day before Luclin. So, anything before 2002...

The devs have a dynamic spell/item upgrade system now, that can automatically upgrade/nerf item stats or spells with specific points in the time line.

It may or may not go in 50% considering the quick patch time line on it. Without the beta server being up, can't really test to see which version is live.

Looked like it was doing less than Weta's Velious screenshots.. which were probably post 50% change... so its prob got the 25% boost?
